Renee Stoll has joined WABC as a freelance reporter. Her first report aired tonight: http://7online.com/education/flushing-students-project-destroyed-in-rocket-explosion/373723/.
Wasn't sure if it was in the weeks following or on the one-year anniversary. Thanks for clarifying.
Either way, I don't think when they compiled it takes away from how well-done it is.
This has to be one of the best video montages I have ever seen. WABC put it together shortly after Hurricane Sandy and shared it again today on the anniversary of Sandy's landfall. It highlights beautifully the power and storytelling of the Eyewitness News enterprise and its people.

According to another post by Cho, the offices are being eliminated completely.

Over the past several weeks a number of anchors and reporters have indicated on social media that the newsroom is about to undergo a six-month renovation. Several posted pictures of them cleaning out their offices. Some suggested that they're "losing" their offices. Not clear if they mean they won't be able to access their offices while the renovation is underway, or if WABC is getting rid of anchor offices and moving them all to cubicles with the reporters.
Here's a picture Liz Cho posted of the temporary digs: https://www.facebook.com/billritter.wabc/posts/10152884433019047
Very clear that new promos are coming based on posts and pictures shared by various EWN anchors on social media over the past few days.
Here's a video teaser NJ Burkett posted of one of the scenes:
Yeah, the narrator talks about coming to the show for breaking news while the visuals show the anchors laughing and schmoozing.
I'm not sure I like the music, but I guess the attempt is to brand the 4 as a fun show?
Great article in the NYT: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/02/arts/television/abcs-bet-on-david-muir-of-world-news-tonight.html?_r=0
ABC News must really have arranged a good media blitz.
This aired during GMA this morning. I must say the entire transition is being handled incredibly effectively vis a vis maintaining viewership. So much learned about what NOT to do from the mishaps of NBC.
Either the EP, or David, or James Goldston. If you read about the new EP's background, it sounds like he's got a pretty strong hard-news background, so maybe he's fond of the Jennings-era broadcast.
Right. Moreover, because Amy was preparing to anchor World News yesterday evening, she was already in the building, on the World News floor, and near the desk.
