  1. https://changingnewscasts.wordpress.com/2019/11/ WFMY is actually airing CBS This Morning in pattern now as of today! Never thought I’d see the day! The Good Morning Show now ends at 7am. Thought they would move 7-10am to 2.2. They also add a 4pm newscast. Sad part is, no more Andy Griffith. Ellen moves to 9 am. And 2 Wants to Know just becomes a regular 5:30 newscast.
  2. I just checked out the listings, it will be midnight to 2am. Jeopardy will follow the 10:00 news at 11, followed by Live PD: Police Patrol at 11:30.
  3. Yeah I thought it was kinda funny myself!
  4. That is horrible and I get to use the dislike button on here for the first time.
  5. https://deadline.com/2019/11/fox-adds-tv-stations-in-seattle-and-milwaukee-in-350m-deal-with-nexstar-1202778453/ Bumped for the station swap with Nexstar, even though it is already In the Nexstar thread
  6. The exodus continues at WBTV. Brigida Mack is out after 10 years.
  7. Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone!
  8. Major news out of Charlotte...Ashley Strohlein is moving from WBTV to WCNC! Taking Kelsey Riggs’ position! I feel like she should have got Delano’s spot. She will also be a CUSA reporter on the NFL Network Congratulations Ashley!
  9. Chandler Morgan promoted to weekend evening anchor at WBTV. Good for her.
  10. Actually the Pacific Time Zone follows the Central/Mountain daytime pattern so B&B usually airs at 12:30 in that time zone as well. Or 11, depending on if their news airs at noon.
  11. I stand corrected about WCNC. I didn’t look at 6am when I viewed the Titan TV guide. And I didn’t realize WSOC’s started that early too.
  12. I can see WBTV taking advantage of this by extending its Saturday morning news to 9am, pushing CBS This Morning Saturday to 9am-11am, and/or adding Sunday morning news from 7-8am. WSOC could expand their Saturday newscast as well and WCNC could add a Saturday newscast. Currently they do not have one at all. And this would be a good opportunity for WJZY to expand Good Day Charlotte to 9am on Saturdays.
  13. Beat me to it. Much respect to Gray for restoring an old tradition.
  14. Kelsey Riggs leaving WCNC for the ACC Network. https://espnpressroom.com/us/press-releases/2019/05/100-days-from-launch-first-three-weeks-of-football-on-acc-network-released-announcers-cotter-herzlich-riggs-and-wood-added-to-roster/j Good for her! She will be missed at WCNC.
  15. WMYT began delaying its programming to 11pm to 1am in September in favor of Modern Family, Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men reruns. Can’t really blame them even if it is Fox O&O market.
  16. Good for them. WBTV celebrates its 70th July 15, 2019.
  17. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/entertainment/tv/media-scene-blog/article93287807.html WBTV's new Morning Break show which I posted about earlier will be an hour and it will replace Flip My Food and Fix It and Finish it, which apparently got cancelled. They had previously renewed the shows for 2 more years. Smart of WBTV to expand local programming instead of spending for more syndicated fare.
  18. WSPA also has LMAD at 9 and a local show at 10, called Your Carolina. Agreed!
  19. http://m.wbtv.com/wbtv/pm_/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=od%3AIeXouYdC WBTV launches a new lifestyle show on Labor Day at 9am. Doesn't say if it will be a half hour or an hour. If an hour, Flip My Food and Fix it and Finish It may be moving to 3 and 3:30, assuming they are renewed for another season. given that they are Raycom shows. Steve Harvey may be going to another station.
  20. I always enjoy your Changing Newscasts updates.
  21. Yeah I get the newscasts airing on KICU, but really? KTVU Plus? If you're going to do that, move it to 2.2! Would not put it past them to do the same thing with WMYT in Charlotte.
  22. http://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/cbs-news-cuts-jobs-as-weekend-newscasts-targeted-for-change/289333 April Fools? Article is dated yesterday. If not I don't think the weekend CBS Evening News would be missed. Stations would like the extra local ad time and sometimes it isn't even seen because of sports. I also think CBS This Morning Saturday should be cut to an hour. That would allow more flexibility for local news on the weekends. For example That 7am hour of E/I on Sunday mornings could instead air at 9am Saturday's on WBTV, freeing up the Sunday 7am hour for a local newscast.
  23. Or in the case of WSOC/WAXN, dump Meredith completely (for the FAB Life). Really surprised they have yet to launch a 4:00 newscast. I guess WSOC is happy with Dr. Phil at 4.
