  1. I miss the days of having sitcom reruns in late night. When I was a kid, our ABC station aired Cheers and Barney Miller for years then later Cheers and Mama’s Family. Nightline was always delayed until 11:30. For a time, our CBS station also aired sitcom reruns and delayed CBS late night programming by half an hour.
  2. Will CBS stations just be airing syndicated programming after 11:30 next year with no network programming provided?
  3. People will want to know where they can find their CBS shows. They aren’t going to care about the WANF schedule of all news…
  4. WUPA 69 in Atlanta is showing Tamron Hall on their schedule at 3pm starting August 18th. It's not showing anything different on WSB's schedule yet. I wonder if they're moving Judy Justice to daytime or adding a 3pm newscast.
  5. So basically people will have to switch from channel 10 to 18 on their TV service to get ABC programming. I’m sure a lot of viewers will be mad they can’t find Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! anymore if WPLG isn’t carried. Other than that, I don’t think many will be upset or even notice ABC is from a different station.
  6. Where do they get money to invest in WANF to be all news? I didn’t think it was highly rated to begin with. Without CBS, I’m sure they’ll be a big drop in viewers.
  7. Interesting how WWJ as a CBS O&O is giving up Drew Barrymore (moving to WDIV) and Entertainment Tonight. I never understood why WWJ didn't put ET at 7pm or 7:30 like most CBS O&Os.
  8. WTHR in Indianapolis is also starting 4pm news on September 6th to replace Dr. Phil.
  9. Denver has had it that way for years. First with KMGH, then the shows moved to KDVR. I think KMGH moved Jeopardy! to another time for awhile and started a 6pm newscast, but a few years later, they went to KDVR.
  10. Why does MyNetworkTV even still exist? I've never understood why stations brand themselves around a two hour block of reruns. Some stations even show the programming in the middle of the night and not during primetime.
  11. I don't care for their newscasts anymore with the flashy graphics and the longtime theme music gone. The current music just sucks. I don't know why they don't just use the Eyewitness News theme if they aren't going to use News Series 2000 Plus that they had for 21 years. It's not the same without Linda, Sylvia, Ron, Kathy, Jerry, or Mark. Alan leaving was the last of the great legends the station had. I don't know why they don't put Ravi and Karen as their lead weekday team. They are the best they've got, but they can't seem to figure out who to put in Alan's position.
  12. I was glad to read Brian Taff is replacing Jim Gardner on the 6pm newscast. He’s always been a favorite and will be great. Brian posted the news today on his Facebook page.
  13. It's boring with the same people on every newscast. I always liked how ABC 7 had different co-anchors on each newscast in the past years when I used to watch. All these stations have less programming and all newscasts, it's no wonder ratings are down and people don't care about watching local channels much anymore other than needing them to watch network programs in their area.
  14. When did Action News start airing at 4am? I noticed they start at 4:00 now with ABC's America This Morning now at 3:30am.
  15. I was glad to see that the 11am news is back. It never should've left! Also, I think ABC 7 is smart to pass on Right This Minute for the 1pm timeslot. Whatever ABC comes up with for their O&Os fails (Katie, FabLife, etc). I wish they had kept One Life to Live...still miss that show a lot.
  16. The one to replace Linda at 4pm should have been Sylvia Perez! In fact, they should have Sylvia return and be on with Linda at 4pm to replace Alan.
  17. I am glad to see that Cheryl and Alan will have a regular newscast together. I would like to see Sylvia Perez return at 4pm and anchor with Linda, but I doubt that will happen with those in charge at ABC 7...I assume Hosea Sanders or Rob Elgas will get the spot.
