Looks like ABC is taking notes from 20th's former cousin in the news space. Please don't attack me. I had to say it.

As I understand it, a local firm is interested in WSIL. Might they pull a Deltavision (or whoever the company is that bought WABG and others) and buy a bit more as well?? Indiana comes to mind. And possibly Wisconsin and WJRT.

Are you sure it's gotten that bad?

This makes me wonder if CBS regrets trading away WDCA and KTXH if anyone from that era is still at the company.- 64 replies

I low-key could see CW being booted too for some reason. I don't know why but I wouldn't be surprised if it were.

It only took them 30 years.

For that matter, is there an off chance of Weigel buying the chain in general.

Regardless of what happens, here's how I feel. https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxK6-SmN4Tj_KS1jKZfDRBWmNLN28LbOG9?si=vxwtIOQD1DWwQpNr Unless they sell to Sinclair or Coastal that is or Gray shells them out.

I knew someone who moved all the way from Shreveport to work at WABG and was back within two years. -
I don't think either of the two airs in San Francisco or Denver as well

Fox Launching "Fox One" Streaming Platform
ColtFromGulfcoast replied to GodfreyGR's topic in General TV
Trust me, as long as Fox still has The Simpsons and company, Hulu will still continue to host ALL Fox shows. And with that renewal, it's clear they're not going away from Fox. -
I thought he allowed Mathis, Milian and Lake to have real cases?

Sinclair Broadcast Group - General Discussion
ColtFromGulfcoast replied to Smitha A's topic in Corporate Chat
It was mentioned in the FCC filings that the agreements concerning WRSP, WCCU and WBUI are also going to be transferred to Rincon as well. That personally doesn't surprise me. -

Sinclair Broadcast Group - General Discussion

I have been predicting this since WSWG got sold to Marquee. And this won't be the last one either. -
This counts double due to the Cunningham ownership. Hell, does Newsmax or Real America's Voice or The Blaze show this stuff?

Please don't speak this into existence.

This had been one of my fears whenever everyone was rooting for Allen to buy Tegna. I could tell from the programming that they put out that they were cheap as hell and would run everything on a shoestring budget. I was hoping that I would be wrong but look at what's happening now. I don't mean to sound pessimistic or be a "I-told-you-so" but what's happening at these stations is truly pathetic. How do you expect to be able to serve a market effectively if you're not actually based there? Allen is unfit to hold any broadcast license. This makes me sick to my stomach.
-
And then I think some of those Chelsey stations ended up with Gray anyway but that's probably besides the point. But I hope the Allen stations aren't gonna be screwed to the point of no return. This is nightmarish.

Maybe they could take the opportunity to move everything to Missouri.
-
I thought Holly Brantley was based in Cape Girardeau? She's the anchor of the show. I guess they didn't move it to Cape Girardeau.
-
Isn't Standard trying to expand KBSI's news operation locally in the Cape?

Eight CBS Stations to Ditch CW and Go Independent This Fall
ColtFromGulfcoast replied to AKA's topic in General TV
At least that would be first run content, at least for those who don't bother to put a free app on their TV.
