  1. WNEP is getting Tegna-fied on Wednesday at noon! There is a video on reporter Ryan Leckey's Instagram page & WNEP's, too.
  2. That's so dumb. People actually liked Take 5. Their ratings were growing so it makes no sense to cancel it. Just put someone in Angela's place. Problem solved.
  3. Not surprised he's leaving. He effectively got demoted. He was a very strong evening anchor. Disappointed he wont be showing up on New Orleans TV at the moment.
  4. How so?
  5. Hmm...this showed up on FOX61's (WTIC) Instagram story last night.
  6. I've identified the new election music used on a lot of Tegna stations. It's called "Time To Roll" by FirstCom.
  7. They launched the entire package at noon today.
  8. The Grammys are on CBS tomorrow night...so I wouldn't be surprised if they get TEGNA-fied on their late news tomorrow.
  9. I wonder if other former Tribune stations will start debuting the new look soon. I'm guessing the FOX affiliates would want the new look before the Super Bowl next Sunday.
  10. Totally agree. Who thought "let's produce a newscast for cities hundreds of miles away that are already competitive enough"?? Whoever did needs their head checked out
  11. Some people also go to work/school later and could watch some of the show.
  12. Okay this pretty much confirms TV3 is being totally redone, not just a small refresh. I have a feeling it will debut tomorrow night. I wonder what it will look like?
  13. I don't know if it was supposed to be a "newscast". More lifestyle than anything else.
  14. I think it's really dumb how the morning shows aren't streamed live onto their streaming services which are popular amongst younger news consumers. Young people like me want content wherever they are. I'm not even home at 7am, but I would definitely stream Today if it was offered on NBC News Now. It'd be a great way to get more and younger viewers.
  15. I doubt that will happen. Hoda and Savannah have really good chemistry and it's be beyond dumb for NBC to take Lester off of Nightly News when they are in the middle of a close ratings battle with WNT.
  16. Even though I'm a fan of Tegna's innovation and the revamp of WKYC, I have to laugh that Lunch Break didn't even last 3 months! I liked the show...but I don't think it should be considered a news show, more lifestyle than anything else. Looking forward to "What's New"...Jay and Betsy make a great team!
  17. Surprised it took her this long to step down. She's becoming much more of a presence on weekday TODAY, not just in the 3rd hour, so she's on her way up!
  18. I thought the entire send-off/close was kind of lame. No big crowds of people like they do for every other TV big-wig retirement? Maybe she didn't want to make a big fuss so they honored her wishes.
  19. Did this just start? Anyone can answer this- but now that they are starting to use the wx graphics a bit- how long until the entire graphics package and music debuts on TV?
  20. I guess they'll be launching on-air sooner rather than later. The GM originally told me the look would launch after November (I interpreted it as December), then he told me March 2020. Wonder what happened.
  21. But a must-run like this is harmless...
  22. Wow. I'm in total shock and I can't even imagine what the team at WFSB is dealing with tonight. She will be missed by many in the state.
  23. Same here. They did a great job! Some still do graphics in-house. I know Lilly Broadcasting is working on a refresh to their existing package. That should debut in early 2020.
  24. That's not entirely true. I read recently that WLTX is making big gains and quickly eating away at WIS 10's dominance.
  25. Not sure about WBNS, but I've been told by a source at WTHR that they will switch sometime after this month. Sounds like the new look will debut in December.
