1. Even though this is not news, this is the earliest video that I have found of WSVN's hit entertainment TV show, Deco Drive. For those who are very unfamiliar about the show, it debuted on January 8th, 1996 as a reformat from their previous incarnation as 7:30 (with KNTV's Jessica Aguirre, who's in this clip and the late great Kelley Mitchell, RIP) and before that as Inside Story with Penny Daniels when it was supposed to be a news magazine, turning entertainment flashy. I believe it wasn't too long after this clip when they were replaced by Lynn Martinez and Belkys Nerey. Belkys went to go do the news in 2003 and Louis Aguirre took over and did it for 11 years with Martinez until he left to go do The Insider and currently hosts it with Debbie Matenopoulos, whom I call her as Debbie Mat. Martinez and WSVN's entertainment reporter, Shireen Sandoval currently host the show with Chris Van Vliet, another entertainment reporter for WSVN, as a fill-in host if needed. I remember that an ex-entertainment reporter for WSVN, Ellie Rodriguez, used to host the show as well when she was reporting as well until she left a few years ago. The program, which celebrated 20 years in January, currently airs brand NEW at 7:30pm and airs a repeat at 11:30pm. This is a piece the show did on Jennifer Love Hewitt in August of '96, months after the show was reformatted as an entertainment flashy show and originally, it was aired at 7:00pm before moving back to 7:30pm when WSVN moved "Inside Edition" back to 7:00pm.
2. And I don't know what's going on in terms of talent at WFXL's 10:00pm news because this picture says it all, even though they are still working at WGXA in Macon as the main evening team at 5:00pm (WGXA)/6:00pm (WGXA 16.2)/10:00pm (WGXA)/11:00pm (WGXA 16.2): https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153910061266273
3. Nope. The last was WWOR and KCOP but gone since 2013 and WFTC but gone in over a decade.
4. Oh. Well I thought it did, but never mind.
5. I think KMSP already does it with MyTV/WFTC 29 on KMSP 9.2
6. So she's moving to WSCV Telemundo 51? Because I know she does weekend evening weather there and can speak Spanish fluently.
7. Which means if the whole team was on air yesterday, then that means they didn't take the buyout.
8. He died!? Wow. That's completely shocking. He's been there for a very long time and its sad that his illness over the last two months is what killed him. This is so awful. I hope staffers from 'rival' stations can work for WKRC when the staffers can attend his private funeral services, whenever that happens. It would be very respecting and amazement for other stations to do for WKRC in this very shocking time. Anyways, RIP to one of Cincy's great weathermans because he truly died, doing what he loved.
9. Maybe its because they don't actually have a helicopter and they just use SkyFOX for branding purposes with a shared helicopter?
10. Mark Wright Lara Yamada Dan Devone Walter Kelley The answer to that is YES.
11. I already notice that at 10:00pm on TV 27.
12. I thought this was a late April Fools' Day joke, but this ain't no joke. It's 100% real and confirmed... KTVU Plus launches Monday on KICU-TV 36. http://www.ktvu.com/news/mobile-app-ktvu/127581119-story The biggest programming changes? Mostly in News. KTVU Mornings on 2 expands to another hour to 10:00am on KTVU Plus. KTVU's half-hour 6:00pm newscast on weeknights is being expanded to a full hour on KTVU. KTVU FOX 2 News at 7:00 on TV 36 will be renamed to include the new name and will be expanded to a full hour. The 10:00 O'Clock News on KTVU FOX 2 repeat at 11:00pm will remain. If news is pre-empted on KTVU due to FOX Sports, the news will instead be seen on KTVU Plus.
13. But you must be, at least FOR NOW because again, you're right. Fortunes can flip and change things around.
14. Therefore, the Echols-Warmoth pairing is broken up AGAIN and it looks like that Warmoth goes from sports to morning news to 4 and 11pm news to main evening news. Bob Opsahl has been one of my favorites in Orlando. Whenever I turn to Orlando news at home or on vacation to Orlando, I'm always watching Bob. He is definitely a LEGEND and an icon there. I will definitely miss him for sure.
15. And someway somehow, TheRob is laughing at it because his station is #1 in KC.
16. Same for KUTV being a subchannel on KMYU for CBS in St. George and the Wastach Front.
17. Well then the both of you had it wrong, even though it was right to answer his inquiry, but it would've been better if those posts were moved to the WCBS thread.
18. Again, wrong thread. This is the WNBC thread, not the WCBS thread. This information belongs to the WCBS thread.
19. If you have NewsON, you're about to see Nexstar stream its stations there. KLAS already does so. http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20160419005319/en/NewsON-Expands-Local-News-Coverage-Addition-Nexstar
20. And so too will this end the LMA between KJZZ and Bonneville/KSL?
21. KUTV-KMYU-KJZZ There you go.
22. Go ahead and add KGW 8's Joe Becker to the list of TEGNA employees taking the early retirement buyout packages.
23. Even though I think this "Neighborhood Weather" idea has never been great, I actually like that idea and I'm glad that WCAU has it. Now, if only my NBC O&O WTVJ had that because WTVJ's weather presentation doesn't have any of that. No weather ticker with 7-day forecast at the bottom or on the left side (like KNBC), no neighborhood or zone-by-zone forecasts, none of that. It makes WTVJ's weather presentation, pretty boring and normal just like my favorite station, WSVN.
24. Woah. I thought this was a joke too. Apparently not.
25. WCWJ used to have one as WJKS.
