1. You know what you reported is great and accurate when someone praises you for your information/article. That came true for me today as my article on my blog has been praised by the V.P., G.M. and G.S.M. of WHAG Television, who's had that job since September of 1986. 2. Wow. I thank you so very much for that. That really means a lot. And yeah, it was a lot of information to get through but in the end, I thought it was a report that was needed to be told. Otherwise, you TV news freaks wouldn't know what would happen to WHAG this upcoming Friday. This post made me so happy. I'm proud to do the work that I currently do for my blog and its always nice to get recognition for it. I got more exclusive stores for the blog coming up but I need information on them first before I report on it, but stay tuned!
3. I just wrote a long article and I thought it was necessary. Its about WHAG and their news expansion that's coming July 1st. I mentioned some programming notes and new local shows coming to WHAG, but the main point was the expanded newscast schedule. WHAG is keeping all of its weekday newscasts in check and will add and shuffle some on weekends. The biggest difference? Every single night, an expanded hour of local news at 6:00pm and a new one-hour newscast at 10:00pm. AGAIN, WHAG is keeping all of its current weekday newscasts. Plus, the Sports Connection is expanding to Fridays (11:30pm) and will remain on Saturdays (7:00pm) and Sundays (11:00pm) as well. I will allow TVNT to hear this first before TVSpy, TVNewsCheck and FTVLive does. Again, its a long article: http://bit.ly/297vtf6
4. I am, thank you. :-) Whatever I can get, it helps.
5. Already talked about in the WFLD thread and I posted an article about it, a day before he did.
6. Thank you for reading my article.
7. All the good luck should go to him because for sure, they will lose against WPVI's Channel 6 Action News at Noon. Put an entertainment kind of program against WPVI and it will lose. This will be a ratings failure.
8. WTVJ's open say NBC 6 News and then in another line... News at (time).
9. She ended up with WTSP for like 22 or 24 years, something like that right?
10. Still... its an achievement, nonetheless. I won't make it to 50 years once I get into the business, but damn sure I'll try.
11. Yeah. Originally, KUTV was on at 4:00pm until moving the news to 3:00pm but then later became The Refresh. It was supposed to expand to Las Vegas on KSNV, but that never went through.
12. I'm not surprised. WFLX does the same thing in situations like this but only because its news are produced by WPTV.

14. With Nexstar soon taking over, forget it. Unless current M.G. management at WNCN decides to do that, they're just waiting for Nexstar management to take over.
15. Aww. Sad that he's gone. I think he used to work in Indianapolis as well at WTHR.
16. That was great. Sad to see him go, but he needs the retirement and he walks out on top.
17. How bout yet another episode of Judge Judy? Basically, WNCN will air it four times: 9:00, 9:30am, 7:00 and 7:30pm.
18. From a TV perspective, this tells me that neither station in Charlotte has their own Doppler. I mean seriously, if you need to rely on NWS Radar, then that means you don't have a Doppler radar of your own and that's pretty sad, especially for a big market like Charlotte. From an NWS perspective, I think there should be a radar in Charlotte. Every major metro area has one that covers is specific area.
19. In other words, breaking away its 24-hour news format for a show to try to target "millennials." In my opinion, it'll be a failure. I don't know why news organizations go the millennial way and offer a social media-type show. News 12 Nightside sounds like something that I don't want to watch.
20. 1) This belongs in the 2000-present video thread. 2) "viewer confusion" with "ABC 28" branding, in which I don't understand why.
21. Four stories that I found that haven't been talked about yet on here from my blog, if you don't mind...
22. Good to add to my list of stations with NewsON on my "Local News on Roku" topic.
23. Less of Tamsen and more of Brenda and Kaity, please. If WPIX wants to be good again, put Brenda and Kaity in the spotlight. If it was me, it would be this: Tamsen and John at 5:00/5:30pm Brenda and Kaity at 6:00/6:30pm Kaity/Brenda and John at 10:00pm
24. Wooo!!! This was severely long over-due. I'm glad they're bringing this back in all honesty. I think once WMAQ moved to 11:00am and expanded to an hour, it was enough for WLS to convince itself for after the TV season to return back to 11:00am. And it seems like people do watch WCL, even though if I lived in Chicago, I wouldn't be one of those watching. Plus, a weird concept. Local news at 11:00am, Chew at Noon, WCL at 1:00pm, GH at 2:00pm. Local/network/local/network.
25. According to TV listings, it looks so because Baywatch is now on that timeslot. I've checked TitanTV, Zap2it, TV Guide, TVTV.us and some website called "On TV Tonight." All have Baywatch in that timeslot so... YEP. I'll be reporting on it on my blog shortly then because nobody was told about this. Thanks for noticing.
