You won't believe this, but WSVN actually aired the UEFA Champions League Final, live. According to TV listings, WPLG did show Madoff yesterday and WTVJ had the Monaco Grand Prix this morning. Meet the Press has two unusual times for this week and next week. The usual LIVE times of 9am this week was instead at 10am due to F1 and will instead be at 8am next week due to French Open coverage at 9am.

That ain't the only station adding morning news soon. I'll reveal it first on here since I don't have enough details for my blog yet: KVRR will soon add weekday morning news KXRM will soon add weekend morning news I'll have more details as it becomes available.

That just leaves KAZA-TV 54 (Azteca) in Los Angeles as the last station to remain owned by Pappas. They have an 80% interest while TV Azteca has the other 20%.

Good 'ol CHCH-TV 11. Boy did bankruptcy fall on them hard. I still love that station.

You can check NMSA and WBAL has done something like this when they were under "News 11."

This is the exact reason why I wanna start a Wiki, based on my blog so that people can look at the newscast schedules I have in each market and if any of it is incorrect, then anybody can tell me and I can then edit those errors.
I'm not sure what this has to do with anything...
From what @Eat News said before.

Actually... "This is KVBC / Las Vegas. NOW with Dave Courvoisier, Rikki Cheese, Weather with Mike Davis, Sports with Scott Reynolds. This is News 3 Nightside." (NMSA - KVBC with Turn To News)
-
That's what I hate about journalism now these days... they are kissing up to social media to make journalism more look like a complete joke.
-
That's amazing considering what WTCN had before "News 11." Agreed with what @sfomspphl said, one of the best turnarounds in television news. From last place to now I think in second or a strong third. I think KARE is beating KMSP in the ratings and possibly KSTP, considering that their local news operation has sunk in recent years.
-
You don't hear about Nexstar selling a station very often.
-
You mean third because it could've been worse... WGCL CBS 46. And I thought she was going to WFLD 32 in Chicago.
-
With Gray Television out and Cordillera Communications in, this was bound to happen at some point.

According to TV listings, the 10:35pm slot is already occupied by WCCO 4 News and has the 10:00-11:00pm slot on BOTH Saturdays and Sundays as WCCO 4 News at 10:00 and 10:35pm.

Well, after all, Scripps owns the Storm Shield app and promotes it for severe weather. I'm not surprised KJRH uses Storm Shield Weather and won't be surprised if other Scripps stations do the same thing.

You're very welcome. I speak Spanish because I'm half Dominican/half Puerto Rican. Makes sense as to why I live in South Florida.

From the anchor himeself, Gabriel Sotelo / @gabosotelo05 on Instagram: "So los dias que faltan para la Copa Confederaciones mi estimado @itsroly. Que tengas excelente tarde!" Translation: "They are the days remaining for the Confederations Cup my estimate @itsroly. You have a great afternoon!" In others words... days till Telemundo airs LIVE sports coverage of the Conferations Cup, just like what TheRob said.

Second time they're trying to do this. First time was this from 6:00-9:00am and a midday newscast, but those plans were shelved. We'll see if this one goes through because I don't believe in it yet.

Even with pre-emptions, KSL will remain with NBC. I think FOX is happy with KSTU and their continued growth over the past 20 years, especially in terms of station's rise of being known in the state and their news operation's continued success and KUTV has turned out to be one of CBS' strongest affiliates, thanks to their recent domination in the ratings, combining that with CBS Primetime. ABC is probably the most unhappiest of networks in Utah since KTVX does very very poorly. However, with NBC actually being happy with KSL, despite their NBC pre-emptions, there will be NO affiliation switch for some time to come in Utah.
-
If that's the case, then don't expect KING or KTVB to lose their NBC affils either, not that it has to deal with this situation since neither KING, KGW or KTVB were ever in danger of losing their NBC affiliations for Seattle, Portland and Boise, respectively.
-
If this is true... then what the hell? I thought WHAG would go Independent because they are expanding local news operations and with H&I programming, it would make it virtually impossible to have the affiliation, considering that I think H&I is a network that hates local stations preempt their programming for local programming, which includes Me-TV, Antenna TV, Decades and other classic networks. If WHAG does become H&I, then it would be unusual for a Nexstar station like this and I can see WHAG's news operations shut down instead because again, there's no way to work this around. I hope this is completely false.

Even though this is not news, this is the earliest video that I have found of WSVN's hit entertainment TV show, Deco Drive. For those who are very unfamiliar about the show, it debuted on January 8th, 1996 as a reformat from their previous incarnation as 7:30 (with KNTV's Jessica Aguirre, who's in this clip and the late great Kelley Mitchell, RIP) and before that as Inside Story with Penny Daniels when it was supposed to be a news magazine, turning entertainment flashy. I believe it wasn't too long after this clip when they were replaced by Lynn Martinez and Belkys Nerey. Belkys went to go do the news in 2003 and Louis Aguirre took over and did it for 11 years with Martinez until he left to go do The Insider and currently hosts it with Debbie Matenopoulos, whom I call her as Debbie Mat. Martinez and WSVN's entertainment reporter, Shireen Sandoval currently host the show with Chris Van Vliet, another entertainment reporter for WSVN, as a fill-in host if needed. I remember that an ex-entertainment reporter for WSVN, Ellie Rodriguez, used to host the show as well when she was reporting as well until she left a few years ago. The program, which celebrated 20 years in January, currently airs brand NEW at 7:30pm and airs a repeat at 11:30pm. This is a piece the show did on Jennifer Love Hewitt in August of '96, months after the show was reformatted as an entertainment flashy show and originally, it was aired at 7:00pm before moving back to 7:30pm when WSVN moved "Inside Edition" back to 7:00pm.

Sinclair Broadcast Group - General Discussion

And I don't know what's going on in terms of talent at WFXL's 10:00pm news because this picture says it all, even though they are still working at WGXA in Macon as the main evening team at 5:00pm (WGXA)/6:00pm (WGXA 16.2)/10:00pm (WGXA)/11:00pm (WGXA 16.2): https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153910061266273 -
Nope. The last was WWOR and KCOP but gone since 2013 and WFTC but gone in over a decade.

Oh. Well I thought it did, but never mind.
