  1. He was a guest on Fox 29's Phantastic Sports Show one night in September. I haven't seen him since.
  2. I saw this Philadelphia TV News book recommended on another site. I put it in the Jim Gardner thread because he's on the cover. The Big Story: The Oral History of Philadelphia TV News.
  3. Adweek/TV Spy is reporting that Charles Watson is moving on to WNBC in New York.
  4. Jacqui Jeras was on today's (11/8) Morning/Afternoon/Daily Headquarters or whatever they call the show between 10AM and 2PM.
  5. Watching the 10AM show and they have 3 anchors. Nydia has to stand on the far end of the desk to do her stories. Looks silly to me. Why didn't they build a desk big enough? Btw, I saw Matt Pellman doing weather on part of the morning show today.
  6. ^^Oops. I wasn't paying attention to the days/dates.
  7. Jacqui posted on her own website that she'd be on some selected WC shows in November & December. See link below. Jacqui's upcoming TWC schedule.
  8. Karen did the Saturday and Sunday morning shows last weekend, (Oct 12 & 13th).
  9. The Fox 29 Early News started today at 4PM.
  10. Chris Sowers gave a short farewell message at the very end of the noon broadcast Sunday and showed one of his "Down at the Shore" clips.
  11. Former 6ABC'er Jeff Skversky was on Fox 29's Phantastic Sports Show Monday night.
  12. FTVLive is reporting that Rosemary Connors is leaving NBC10 later this month. The site also speculates she may go to CBS3. https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2024/9/11/could-have-spelled-her-name-correctly
  13. Know anyone looking for a Sports Anchor job, including weekends and weeknight fill-ins? 6ABC posted weekend sports anchor job.
  14. Veteran anchor Rob Vaughn will be off the air for a while. He's undergoing prostate cancer treatment. Wishing a speedy recovery for him. He posted a note on Facebook regarding his situation. Rob's Facebook post.
  15. Why did 6ABC send a reporter down to Baltimore to report on the bridge collapse? It looked like they were just on the side of some random road. Won't there be enough coverage nationally?
  16. She could also do some weekend evenings, filling in for Brittany. They had to have Adam or Cecily fill in on those shifts just a week or so ago. Chris has also pulled some doubles, doing morning and evening weekend.
  17. Payton will be making her 6ABC debut on the noon news today, 2/28.
  18. She tweeted that she had a family commitment as the reason for the shift in schedule.
  19. Cecily Tynan worked the Friday noon news. I can't remember the last time (in recent history) she did that.
  20. It's a little tongue in cheek. I don't remember a reporter being hired to be a weekend morning reporter only.
  21. Siobhan McGirl is joining NBC10 as a reporter on Jan 22. She's originally from South Jersey. She gets the coveted weekend morning reporter spot. https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/local/siobhan-mcgirl-joins-nbc10-as-general-assignment-reporter/3748005/
  22. Adam Joseph has been talking about the new radar during the broadcasts. He also tweeted about a 3rd radar. I don't know if it replaced another radar. https://twitter.com/6abcadamjoseph/status/1744716035075535177#m
  23. Reporter Leland Pinder has joined 6ABC news. He did a report on the 11PM newscast. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=754438316502799&set=ecnf.100058099117093
  24. I like Natasha. I just find it odd that her "on-air" day seems like it's stretched out. The station has sports anchors filling in for news anchors and regular news reporters doing sports. Having some anchors sitting in chairs at the desk, others standing awkwardly. The other stations in the city have many anchors/reporters that can do both well and can fill in on any newscast and don't have to use the same 5-6 anchors every day.
  25. Will Natasha Brown be anchoring that newscast as well? She only anchors 9AM, occasionally at noon, 4PM and fills in at 5PM a lot.
