I saw this Philadelphia TV News book recommended on another site. I put it in the Jim Gardner thread because he's on the cover.
The Big Story: The Oral History of Philadelphia TV News.
Watching the 10AM show and they have 3 anchors. Nydia has to stand on the far end of the desk to do her stories. Looks silly to me. Why didn't they build a desk big enough?
Btw, I saw Matt Pellman doing weather on part of the morning show today.
FTVLive is reporting that Rosemary Connors is leaving NBC10 later this month. The site also speculates she may go to CBS3.

Veteran anchor Rob Vaughn will be off the air for a while. He's undergoing prostate cancer treatment. Wishing a speedy recovery for him. He posted a note on Facebook regarding his situation.
Rob's Facebook post.
Why did 6ABC send a reporter down to Baltimore to report on the bridge collapse? It looked like they were just on the side of some random road. Won't there be enough coverage nationally?
She could also do some weekend evenings, filling in for Brittany. They had to have Adam or Cecily fill in on those shifts just a week or so ago. Chris has also pulled some doubles, doing morning and evening weekend.
Siobhan McGirl is joining NBC10 as a reporter on Jan 22. She's originally from South Jersey. She gets the coveted weekend morning reporter spot.

Adam Joseph has been talking about the new radar during the broadcasts. He also tweeted about a 3rd radar. I don't know if it replaced another radar.

I like Natasha. I just find it odd that her "on-air" day seems like it's stretched out. The station has sports anchors filling in for news anchors and regular news reporters doing sports. Having some anchors sitting in chairs at the desk, others standing awkwardly. The other stations in the city have many anchors/reporters that can do both well and can fill in on any newscast and don't have to use the same 5-6 anchors every day.
