Sorry to bring up WPTV again in this thread, but my post last week mentioned that only three mets were showing on their website after having six at one point. One of the three, Frances Peyton, is leaving the station later this week. https://www.facebook.com/FrancesPeytonwx/videos/this-is-a-hard-one-to-shareafter-so-much-thought-and-reflection-ive-made-the-dec/4374555696112686/

FTVLive mentioned today that WPTV in West Palm Beach, FL only shows three meteorologists on their website. At one point they had six. Chris Sowers, former 6ABC met, joined WPTV in 2024 and isn't one of the current three listed. He's living in FL, but his socials don't mention WPTV. He still gives Facebook posts on PA/NJ weather.

91 degrees outside today (4/16), but still 57 degrees on CBS3. I remember before they switched to "CBS Philadelphia" news, the weather bug was off often. If it was 90-95 outside, it was 101 on the bug.

Good Day Philadelphia is celebrating its 30th anniversary tomorrow, April 1. I believe they'll be talking about it during the regular morning shows, plus an evening show starting at 6:30PM. Also, Sheinelle Jones was in Philadelphia Monday promoting her new book and stopped by Good Day. Below is the video of her visit. https://www.fox29.com/video/fmc-e7kqcim5k54qf0xk

Crossing Broad followed up the original story about Galati leaving by mentioning Facebook posts from viewers asking WPVI to bring back Jamie Apody. Not really sure that's going to happen. https://www.crossingbroad.com/news/trending/the-white-women-of-facebook-are-demanding-that-action-news-bring-back-jamie-apody-to-replace-gabriella-galati/

I've noticed that for a few weeks now, but I think it only starts at 11:30 on Fridays. Monday through Thursday is still 11:45.

Caroline Goggin is pregnant, so maybe Leland is auditioning to be her maternity leave replacement.

I wonder when/if Jessica Kartalija will anchor a newscast. I don't know if it's her decision, the station's decision, or there's some kind of non-compete clause at play. There's been plenty of times she could have filled in here and there.

Where would she sit? They don't even have a seat for Nydia.

Johnny Archer had been doing the 11AM weekday news recently, but he did the weekend evening news after Frances Wang left. I don't know if Keith & Erin will continue with the 11 AM.

He was a guest on Fox 29's Phantastic Sports Show one night in September. I haven't seen him since.

Jim Gardner Reducing Schedule, to Retire at End of 2022
SF1964 replied to Morphtato's topic in Philadelphia News
I saw this Philadelphia TV News book recommended on another site. I put it in the Jim Gardner thread because he's on the cover. The Big Story: The Oral History of Philadelphia TV News. -
Adweek/TV Spy is reporting that Charles Watson is moving on to WNBC in New York.

Jacqui Jeras was on today's (11/8) Morning/Afternoon/Daily Headquarters or whatever they call the show between 10AM and 2PM.

Watching the 10AM show and they have 3 anchors. Nydia has to stand on the far end of the desk to do her stories. Looks silly to me. Why didn't they build a desk big enough? Btw, I saw Matt Pellman doing weather on part of the morning show today.
