KTIV concludes it's broadcast day on Christmas 2001, using a sign-off tape from the 1990s:

Was that the theme to the TG2/KABC theme? I'm looking everywhere!
Yes it is. More specifically, this one:
-
I think before they became "The Southland's #1 News Team"... here is the June 13th, 1972 11pm edition of Eyewitness News..
From the Jenson Home.... yes.. in a home.
See the comments for details... and dont expect Cool Hand Luke to be playing in the open either..
Never thought I'd hear Get it On as a news theme!
If you've got over 4 hours to kill, why don't you watch this morning aircheck of WTVC from December 18, 2006? It contains a complete episode of GMA (with a WTVC update at 25 minutes in using their cuts of Chroma Cues), Live With Regis & Kelly (with Sylvester Stalone and Bow-Wow), Martha Stewart (a Christmas themed show, she also shows us some of the crafts she made in jail!) and the first segment of The View (with Rosie O'Donell on the panel, and long before the constant cast turnover). Enjoy!

Here's something for The ID Junkies KTVT compilation, it's most of the evening edition of KTVT's Metroplex News from Memorial Day 1979. Fun fact, these usually at the halfway mark of their 9pm movie!

WAGA signs off its broadcast day.
And here is the late news replay that preceded the sign-off, which usually aired back then between 2:00 and 3:00am!

(W)UTV Buffalo 29 is forced to wrap up it's broadcast day earlier than usual on this night in 1984, pre-emting the INN news:

Another full newscast from Ken Owen's (persumed) collection, this time it's WRTV's paid 10pm newscast on WTTV from February 28, 1994:
BTW, does anyone really know for sure if that is Ken himself uploading the clips to TheClassicSports account?

From 28 years ago this week, clips of all 3 Austin TV newscasts, including video of KTBC using Non-Stop's News Watch:

How did this user get this before Michael Pannoni did? It's WBAL's sign-off routine from March 4, 1988, about halfway into their CBS era. It included a news headline summary, and a sermonette (whose intro and outro dated back to the first NBC era):
Also on the tape was this promo & an ID with the CBSpirit graphics:

An almost complete (missing intro) edition of KTVU's The 10'OClock News from June 28, 1985:

Bit of an Update:
The kickstarter didn't go as hoped, and the project was rebranded.

News Net is set to launch in January.
Well it's a good thing they're still trying to go national, the launch of the CBN News Channel must have convinced them to go ahead with it. Now theres only the matter of getting affiliates.

Been awhile since I posted the maximum 5 videos onto here!
At last, we know where WJKS's 70's theme came from, in a ABC Evening News promo! And also in here is an NBC jingle which I think hasn't seen the light of day in over 45 years!:

WANE's version of the NewsChannel campaign:
Two closes from two consequitve KNXV 6pm newscasts, just before they became ABC:
And the opening to WIVB's News 4 Update from May 25, 1989:

Finally I get the chance to post something here again! I've been trying to jump in, but all the videos I've wanted to submit were taken by others!
Anyways, here's the intro to the ABC Saturday News (not to be confused with the ABC Weekend News which aired on stations after their late news or before sign-off) from May 20, 1978, taped off KVUE in Austin:

A news update from LA 11, that's KTTV, from July 4, 1982 with Tuesday1:

Somebody phone the NMSA, WDSU used Look For Us in 1980:

Thailand's channel 7 introduces their news in 1990 with a mish-mash of various American graphics and WXIA's Standard & Tradition theme:

The first 90-minute news block from WISH in Indianapolis (with a special introduction explaining the new format), 1989:
That was previously uploaded by Ken back in March of 2014, but without commercials.
A full 30 second version of WOI-TV's Keeping You in Touch jingle (sounds like it came from TM Productions). but with 5TV replaced by Channel 5:

The frequency's definitely increased lately, primarily onthesea with Argentina clips.
I personally don't mind Canada or some Australia — there's enough US similarity that those go here. (And you know I'm a hound for vintage Spanish-language material from the US and Puerto Rico.) It might be time to move the "International YouTube Findings" from the International board over here, where it could see more activity.
I'm surprised we're not really sharing Brazil clips, what with their SBT doing Brazillian versions of US network graphics and campaigns.

Longtime NBC News and WTVJ Miami reporter Ike Seamans has passed away after a long battle with prostate cancer. He was 80.
This man was GOOD. Really GOOD. I know because I watched him for years at WTVJ and was lucky enough to watch his craft with his amazing news voice. A stellar news reporter, excellent at best and legendary at the most. He will be missed.

And as we all know, Ike was at the transmitter building when WTVJ moved from 4 to 6 on September 10, 1995:

WJLA 1983 Theme.
I guess I should've expected it came from them, here is that theme in use at JLA from 1985: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=dHAi5cPpdNI;m=2;s=37
I wound assume WCIV must have used a similar open as well. Also worth noting is that WCIV back then used the same "On Your Side" logo that WJLA had back then.

I now present this WCIV news update from September 1985, using what I think is an already identified theme (Tuesday?).

36 years ago today, WSAV and WJCL swapped network affiliations, only to reverse said swap 3 years later after NBC turned everything around. In the days leading to the switch, WJCL blacked out ABC promos in favor of this graphic promoting the upcoming switch:

Yet another recording of WNEW-TV's sign off routine, this time from mid April 1984:

Goodbye Morning Dose and NewsFix, its been canceled. Now KDAF and KIAH can start rebuilding and revive their own newscasts.
https://mikemcguff.blogspot.com/2018/09/newsfix-and-morning-dose-cancelled-by.html
Well darn. Sinclair said that if they got the Tribune stations, they would've expanded Morning Dose and possibly NewsFix to some of it's stations not carrying local news or Kids Click.
