  1. Looks like Keloland started using First News before they changed to their current logo:
  2. And now Byron Allen wants Tegna...... https://deadline.com/2020/03/byron-allen-bid-broadcaster-tegna-1202880413/
  3. Yep, she left because of the Jerry Springer experiment, if you look closely during the close, you'll see a cutout of a newspaper article about her departure. BTW, those two newscasts came from this site, which has a lot more material related to Carol, including a pre-Chicago newscast at WSM-TV! https://mediaburn.org/video/ch-5-news-5197-5597/
  4. I'm purposely reposting the WMAQ 1997 newscast, because it has the extremely rare Jerry Springer commentary on it!
  5. The two half hour newscasts at 8 and 9 were still there, mostly likely they were still using the old KHJ graphics & logo and It's All Right Here up until Prime9 launched.
  6. A lot of stations around the country now have .5 and .6 channels. I guess the bandwith has now improved in the past 10 years?
  7. WJRT from 1987 and a theme that sounds a lot like Newschannel: WRGB introduces closed captioned news: KCAL looks back on its first year of Prime 9 News: KEZI from 1977!
  8. Can't say that I've heard this WRAL campaign: A bit of WTIC's News at 10 from it's first months: A whole Sunday night CBS Evening News followed by a KFMB newscast from September 23, 1990: Some KPTM teasers and a news open from 1995:
  9. Bits of Scranton from 1986: KTVU's 40th anniversary special: An early WRTV on WTTV newscast:
  10. A bit of WITN from June 15, 1995:
  11. You have to admit this looks pretty good for small town LPTV news in 1983:
  12. LWN was well past its prime, a bygone network from the "health TV" craze of the late 2000s. I think being home to Pickler & Ben was the last time ABC breathed some kind of life into it.
  13. From the same site, going even older with this newscast, the Jax World at Large: https://texasarchive.org/2014_00092
  14. Now theres a WKYC open I haven't seen before: KAIT from 1996 with News Series 2001: KEZI from 1980 with The African Suite:
  15. WCAX! From 1978!
  16. An episode of ABC's Eye on Hollywood during it's original trial run as a summer prime-time show: KMTV from 1984 with some unknown theme during the bumpers:
  17. A slice of World News Now from June 14, 1994:
  18. More of TVbD in it's prime, as used on KSBW in 1988:
  19. It will be replacing ionTV on WCTV 6.3. Which makes me wonder if adding ion to a number of its stations was just a placeholder until Circle could launch?
  20. Looks like Amanda is keeping the channels lights on, at least for now. TF&GC just uploaded an episode of the Feud:
  21. Anything to say about David Down's sudden death?

    1. TexasTVNews

      TexasTVNews

Well, I've never got to do trades with David, but I feel like I had known him all my life. He was a good Facebook friend and

a huge fan of game shows. David will forever be in spirit and his memory will live on.

My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to David Downs family.

Rest in Paradise, David. God bless you, and Godspeed.

  25. Some new OKC stuff from Chris Sloan...... KWTV in the later days of Newsline 9: KFOR with their Vance/EGAD look: KOCO with the current logo but still under Gannett ownership:
