WPVI did get a new transmitter last year fwiw:

Can more power actually overcome the fact that antennas have to be positioned separately between low-band VHF and high-band VHF/UHF?

Why haven't they remapped the PSIP to a UHF signal? It's the Deleware Valley for crying out loud and cable is dying. Fewer people will be watching PVI if they aren't subscribed to cable and can't watch OTA. Even Comcast knows this basic.
Do they even have the legal ability to do that?

And they put the Charge! Network on WTVD and KFSN. Sinclair forgot they even own stations there.
Less forgot and more they wanted money from Disney to put the subchannels there.

Does this mean that Detroit is going back to WADL, after everything that happened?

Sinclair struck a deal with the ABC O&Os to carry the Charge! network starting today:
This includes WPVI-TV, whose OTA signal, stuck as it is on low VHF 6, has been difficult to watch since the digital transition.

Goes into effect April 1st. They're running commercials for it in Albany, not posting about it online though.
The listings for that day show no change (haven't been updated yet?)

He gonna fight to keep Detroit and New York because there crucial CW markets.
Given that the CW is already on WMYD, I don't think Nexstar is going to do any fighting as far as WADL is considered.

The ruling has a direct effect on this deal. Since Nexstar doesn't own any stations in Detroit, the FCC has just ruled that this deal would put Nexstar even more over the ownership cap then it already had been with PIX11.

All the stations that Nexstar and Mission own in the other markets have been ruled to effectively be duopolies. Are any of these now in violation of the existing (if relaxed) duopoly rules?

NBC Boston is pretty much a bodged-together combo of NECN and Telemundo NE
Do they actually have English-speaking Telemundo talent cross over?

WHDH does well since Sunbeam Television, its owner, historically does a great job and has a strong following. What WBTS (Comcast) did was to bypass them and install their own NBC Channel 10 (Really Channel 8 ) on a lower powered CD station. The viewers in the market have reacted adversely to this station and it has the lowest ratings in the market, allowing all other stations (including WSBK and WBZ CBS) better ratings. Being late to the party and rude about it will get you no favors.
The WBTS facility is licensed as a Class A digital, but it is actually transmitting on spectrum leased from WGBX, the full-power secondary station owned by WGBH, the PBS station in town, so over-the-air coverage is not an issue.

It's notable that Lionsgate is taking point here instead of the Carsey-Werner Company, which still has an active syndication business (though its been a long time since C-W actually sold a show directly to broadcast stations).

All told, a number of satellite viewers are going to be stuck watching the Super Bowl either on OTA or the Nickelodeon broadcast. (Surprised the CBS affiliate body allowed Nick to cut in on their biggest day in 4 years.)

Since all the episodes are available on-demand lately it's probably more that than anything rather than CBS mob-tacting them; at the end of the day it's yet another 'if you haven't seen it, it's new to you' syndicated package that fills an easy hour and captures the audience which doesn't want to deal with Freevee. And it certainly isn't original content in 2024.
What is CBS going to do, take away their Dr. Phil reruns? No, not the Dr. Phil reruns from 2018 we air at 4am anyways that OWN and Pluto also air and will clog Merit Street soon, please don't take those.
They could take away new J!/WOF, Drew Barrymore, and the news magazines, but that's about it.

And it'll be interesting to see where Nexstar's equivalent deal with KAZT actually goes.
The action isn't against Nexstar but specifically Mission, and the Loudens haven't had these issues.

Yet another jump of the affiliation in Phoenix; KAZT will take over on February 1. Nexstar will provide services.
Disappointing that a quality independent such as this is leasing out to Perry.

I’m more amazed they used their sports account handle with a straight face for the WWE announcement.
Ever since Fox picked up Smackdown, they have been marketing it under the Fox Sports banner. The show even has a page on the Fox Sports website. Likewise, AEW was marketed as a product of Turner Sports during the WarnerMedia/AT&T era.

Good thing that AT&T/DirecTV got a deal done with Nexstar a couple of months ago it's no big loss losing TEGNA WZZM as you can watch ABC on WOTV in West Michigan at least.
Likewise, CBS viewers in Spokane can watch KLEW instead of KREM as DirecTV recently reupped with Sinclair.
