Yeah I’m not understanding that. It’s one thing when Dani does it, seems like her typical shift might be like 9-7 or whatever when she does mornings at 10 and then WNT. But Jeff was in for Lee tonight, not sure why they wouldn’t just have him to the quick hit.

One thing I noticed is that they seemed to have eliminate the commercial break at 4:58 in the mornings. There used to be a break at that time, they now go until 5:00 and read something along the lines of “Eyewitness News This Morning continues now” and go to the team open (or the Breaking News open today and yesterday)

Im one of the 4:30am viewers so I like seeing everyone there and Brittany is great. Not for nothing but what is Sams shift exactly. GMA goes on at 7 and he often is on SM going into work at like 6, he can't do the noon newscast? If not then Im surprised they don't have Dani and Jeff split the noon.

It’s the middle of the summer. They’re probably on vacation. It’s also Wednesday, the show is still Savannah and Craig why would they change the open?

They’re a little inconsistent with the 5pm open. Sometimes it’s played sometimes not. Last night it was.

Will they ever announce a replacement for Maurice? Schedule since he moved to network seems to be Jessica Monday thru Wednesday and then Allan/Dick/Alice on Thursday and Friday. I would hope something more permanent would go into place?

I’m wondering if we’ll see an “official” announcement about Pedro this week? Mike took over the 5 last Tuesday and Pedro was on vacation so it would make sense.

Have they? I’ve seen the one where they edited him out and it’s just Shirleen and the crew, and then there’s other ones “recapping” the show from the day, with the team and whoever is in that seat, usually Pedro

Wow. So now they’re down to 3 meteorologists. 2 of whom are on the evening shows and none on the weekends.

He’s been on for a few moths now. According to a post on his social media Shannon had knee surgery and would be out for a few months. John D has also been on in the afternoons

Mike Marza filled in last night at 5. Liz did the 6 solo.

Mike was out covering the Diddy trial yesterday. Not sure about today but yesterday he did several reports for all evening shows.

At the end of the 5pm today after the last weather hit Lonnie announced why he hasn’t been doing the 6 and 11. He suffered a head injury a few months back, was told to work shorter days and to not drive at night, he is now taking time off. “Replacing” or “in for” cause there’s a big difference. Who knows maybe we’ll see someone we least expect. Again, I thought they said Mike officially takes over on Tuesday, we may see him tomorrow morning, who knows if an official decision is even made but if it is I guess we’ll find out.

Promo for the morning show already had Mike edited out. Only has Shirleen, Brittany, Sam and Heather. No shots of them together. I assume we’ll see new promos anyway for all shows being that all of them show the old studio. I also wonder how much longer Sam will be around, he was very vocal on Instagram and Facebook live the first few days of the “move” and how he no longer lives in NYC (most of the time) and this doubled his commute time. Also.. I’m thinking Mike will appear on the morning show Monday to give an official “goodbye” to that team and the viewers at that time? Do we know for certain that Pedro will take over? Or is there a chance it will go to someone else?

If Mike were to do any of the earlier ones I would hope they’d give him the 5 with Sade. Let Bill finish up his time at 6 with Liz.

I was just coming here to say the same thing. I assume that he will be doing some sort of reporting/main fill in. I thought it was originally reported that he would be stepping down from the 5 and 11, staying on the 6, so it's surprising it's just the 11.

I assume they’ll give Mike his announcement in the morning with the team and Pedro there (assuming he’s still the one taking the spot) and I’m sure weekends will be rotating with the typical people (Toni Yates, Chantee Lana, Janice Yu) until an official replacement is hired.

Lee Goldberg did the last 5pm weather hit and first 6pm weather hit from the roof. It was a pretty cool shot with the World Trade Center in the background and the sunset. He also mentioned many more angles up there and more live shots to come. Should be pretty cool

They must be "testing" the pairing of Chris and Kristine (even tho they were together) because Jessica did a report from the desk tonight. In my opinion moving him to evenings would be a great option.
