So today Tanya Rivero and Shirleen anchored this morning. Bill and Sandra on at 5.. Bill solo at 6. Mike reported for the 5. I was surprised to see him reporting over anchoring. Guess it’s the way of “easing” in. It’s been asked but is there a date of when the moves happen?

I really gotta say… While I have NOTHING against Curt Menefee, taking time to watch GDNY this week Dan Bowens is really a breath of fresh air with Rosanna. I know it probably won’t happen but seeing Dan paired for the main show permanently might be a really good thing for the show.

It seems what they do is “recap” especially the 10am show in promos, each day, regardless of who’s on, same for EWNTM. But promos still air with the main team. According to other posts it seems they’re moving next month? Do we see the anchor teams flipping then or does Bill wait til after February? And just to confirm… Mike will be doing the 5 and 11 when this happens? Pedro AMs and 10?

Shirleen won’t be moving off mornings. She’s the “face” of mornings for WABC. Mike and Sade will be the 5 and 11, can’t see it being any other way.

Does anyone know if Sade is ok? It’s been weeks since I have seen her on air. And before anyone makes a smart remark, I don’t think anything was mentioned on social or on air because other viewers are asking on Bill and Sandra’s pages too.

I really don’t see what the issue is with Marza. Since he arrived he’s been on pretty much every newscast, so viewers have seen him and know who he is. I think he’ll fill the role more than fine and has proven he’s more than in it. It’ll be interesting to see how the morning plays out, for a station that had the same teams in place for so long, this will be the second anchor change in (as many?) years.. I forget when Ken left.

A few weeks now yes especially at 6:00. I couldn’t agree more, not visually appealing even on TV

Noticed on GDNY late last week. It makes it look 1000% better. Hopefully we see similar backdrops make it to other shows

I think he’s good. I actually think he’s a little better fit for the evenings rather than the mornings and they are clearly exposing him to viewers at all times so he will be well known and I think most viewers will adjust quickly. The mornings is what I’m not sure about. I know someone mention Pedro Rivera joining the desk with Shirleen but watching him a few times on weekdays (don’t really watch weekends much) I don’t know he’s the best fit there.

I don’t think they’ve ever (if very rarely) done 2 anchors at 6pm. Even if they’re both off it will be a solo anchor.

Noticed that as well. There is one comment on her latest post asking where she’s been. Her Instagram bio still lists her at PIX, which obviously hasn’t been updated he latest post has a quote and ended the message with “the come back is always greater than the setback”

Ryan Field posted pics of the new building, some of the (empty) studios and what looks like might be the newsroom. Looks pretty cool so far

So it looks like the 8pm show is going to be called “The News on My9” and the 11 is called “Good Night New York” so is it really a replay of GDNY, it’s only 30mins. I’m also interested to see who will do the 8pm show, my guess is Steve and Natasha might just add it on.

Weekend morning newscast not airing either. According to optimum channel guide 8am is PIX on Politics and then 8:30 is Monica Morales show

So do Chris and Kristine reunite? Does Cindy Hsu get the morning spot? I would like to see Dick Brennan but he’s been pulled around so many times who knows what WCBS will do

With all the breaking news Mike Marza was brought in to anchor with Joe Torres tonight. And before anyone says anything about commenting anchor coverage. Tanya Rivero (who is the new weekend anchor with Joe) was also in studio covering the breaking developments and seemed to be the “3rd” anchor for the Biden coverage.

Mike Marza has been doing the 4,5,11 all week (and possibly end of last week??) While Pedro Rivera has been doing the mornings week. And YES I know it’s vacation time so we will see people on at different times, but I’m just saying this seems like the possible near(ish) future line ups

Chemistry wasn’t the best with Lori on air but they are very close friends from what it seems. Bianca and Rosanna had good chemistry and they seemed the genuinely get along, but still nothing will beat the days with Greg.

Different level but the absolute worst is news 12.. even their “main faces” don’t stay long anymore. We all know what has happened there in the last few years but it seems like it’s even worse now.

Noticed that too, it was also her first day back from vacation lol.

If it’s that late I don’t necessarily disagree. It was a regular game on a Tuesday night those who stayed up probably went to bed and weren’t going to stay up to watch the news. If I remember correctly I think it was like 11-11:30 where WNYW skipped the newscast

No shocker Bill Ritter let his opinion show, station management should put a stop to it, you don’t really see any other local anchors including at his own station doing this, just him. I do agree with the whole weather team line up. Reagen has the personality for the lighter weekend morning newscast and would work great with Michelle. Brittany does great in the morning with the team and a promotion for Jeff is well over due
