  1. Well no need to lose your lunch over it, pal
  2. After the TVNC report regarding the workplace environment at News 12, owner Alice launched an internal investigation which led to GM Jacques Natz's ouster https://tvnewscheck.com/journalism/article/news-12-gm-jacques-natz-ousted-after-internal-investigation/
  3. Didn't CBS do a "News Central" at its LA duop some time back?
  4. To date, the only news programming on My9 is the Sunday "New Jersey Now" political show. At least with 10/55, CBS does have both the 9pm newscast and the weekly "Exit 10/55" political show. If FCC hadn't dispensed the "Main Studio" rule, that could've prevented the stations moving elsewhere
  5. I'm more curious as to how My9 is still a thing. I wonder if the upcoming changes to the 9pm news on 10/55 might actually lead to more news there.
  6. Perhaps a throwback to the 1997 logo
  7. Per Fox 5, Ernie was off to Harvard Business School to get his MBA, similar to reporter Baruch Shemtov. Sukanya was pushed out by the former PIX management over allegedly not welcoming replacement Betty Nguyen on social media. To my recollection, no one at 'NYW made mention of Dari's exit.
  8. Initially, when CBS first bought the station, CBS said they would strengthen 10/55's news department and compete with News 12 LI. https://www.newsday.com/business/cbs-inks-deal-to-buy-long-island-s-wlny-55-u08340 However, outside of a short-lived morning show going up against GDNY and the Pix Morning News, 10/55 was sent to West 57th, where it's been ever since. Some years later, it was alleged that 10/55 was bought by CBS so Peter Dunn could have membership access to a golf club. https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/business/story/2021-01-24/cbs-tv-station-deal-wlny-peter-dunn-sebonack
  9. Reporter Aundrea Cline-Thomas has left Channel 2 https://twitter.com/AClineThomas/status/1545522540449234950
  10. Another WABC alum, Lori Stokes also had a tribute to Robb on her Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/CfpODVRPrv7/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  11. The FCC repealed the "Main Studio" rule- where they had to have a physical location within the state they are licensed to. There were politicians like NJ Sentator Frank Lautenberg, who called for an investigation on Fox's ownership of WWOR, which did occur but Fox would keep ownership of the station. In other News 12 news, Newsday has reported that Elisa DiStefano has left News 12 Long Island https://www.newsday.com/entertainment/tv/elisa-distefano-news12-long-island-nqse29gq
  12. South NJ used to have an NBC affiliate, WMGM 40, which produced local news until Comcast pulled the affiliation from there. WMGM was in the viewing area of their Philly duop of WCAU/WWSI. Members of WMGM would end up creating SNJ Today.
  13. TVSPY, citing TVNewscheck is reporting a wave of resignations at News 12 New Jersey due to a "toxic environment" https://www.adweek.com/tvspy/mass-resignations-and-allegations-of-toxic-work-environment-at-news12-new-jersey/242201/ (pay wall) Here's the TVNC report: https://tvnewscheck.com/journalism/article/at-news-12-new-jersey-a-staff-exodus-over-workplace-toxicity-claims/
  14. Apparently, that's a thing across the O&Os now. I saw Q13 in Seattle do the same.
  15. Acoording to TVSPY, Tashanea Whitlow (previously with Black News Channel) will be joining Good Day New York starting June 15th and will co-anchor with Dan Bowens from 4:30-7am and the main show with Rosanna Scotto https://www.adweek.com/tvspy/tashanea-whitlow-to-join-fox-ny-as-am-anchor/241807/

  20. Per TVSpy, Melissa Colorado from sister station KNTV NBC Bay Area started at WNBC on April 18th https://www.adweek.com/tvspy/melissa-colorado-switches-nbc-owned-stations-now-reports-for-wnbc/240932/

  22. Per the FTVLIVE, Liz Cho is out with COVID-19 https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2022/4/13/that-didnt-last-long
  23. Honestly, it should be concerning to CBS management that Kemlani seems to be on the wrong side of the headlines quite frequently -- from trying to get Norah O'Donnell out of the Evening News and now this-- this can't be a good look for CBS.
  24. Per TVSPY, Yisel Tejeda, will be debuting as the new Noon anchor for Orlando's Telemundo 31 on April 4th. She was previously the 11pm anchor at New York's WXTV https://www.adweek.com/tvspy/telemundo-orlando-adds-yisel-tejeda-as-noon-anchor/239851/
  25. Well, there are rumors that the O&Os will have a newscast at 9am, so they could extend the AM crew to 9am and perhaps have a new team at 12
