  1. KIMA NewsBeat and KNDO News 23 clips from November 1991, includes Jim Lewis on KNDO and Heidi Adami on KIMA (and the clips range between B&W and color) WOIO CBS 19 News at 11 open, 10/19/97 - Cleveland Indians won game 2 of the World Series vs. the Marlins that night, but would lose in 7 on a Marlins extra-inning walkoff. Elvis Mitchell is the guest host on this 40 minute aircheck of CBS News Nightwatch from August 15th, 1991 (off KREM 2 Spokane).
  2. I have four hours of KIMA Yakima taped on 9/11, but it's only Dan Rather (no local cut-ins). There were occasional crawls with closure info and phone numbers for the American Red Cross and various other organizations. Other than that, I have 8 hours of CNN taped that day, which is all archived on YouTube anyways. My recording begins about a minute before the first tower went down. Remember that this was Pacific time, and there weren't a lot of people rushing to find a tape at 5:50 in the morning when the first breaking news cut-ins went off.
  3. There's a strange To Be Announced block on KCYU (Fox) in the 1:00 hour beginning 9/13. Maybe we'll get You Bet Your Life after all? Hoping..... Albeit, KIMA seems to be keeping Judge Judy reruns at the noon timeslot and the 4:00 hour, at least through 9/20.
  4. Lots to upload... KNDO NewsCenter clip from 6/6/88 (RFK assassination 20 years prior) My oldest clip of CNN Headline News, taped off Superstation WTBS on 2/26/1985 KIMA News at 5 clip, August 1997, Craig Galbreith and April Minister CBS Sunday Night News open 12/17/95 (plus commercials aired prior to it). KIMA did not air news on weekends until 2000. CNN Headline News (partial), 10/26/97 with Holly Firfer (also taped from KIMA...after CBS discontinued their Sunday Night News, they took CNN Headline News for a year or so, then went to NYPD Blue reruns at 11pm.)
  5. A compilation of Smuckers Birthdays in honor of Willard. I will miss you forever and so will millions. Whether you were getting ready to go to work, or if you were a little kid watching the Macy's Parade with mom and dad, Willard was a presence that NBC can never replace. RIP forever, Willard.
  6. In Yakima, Divorce Court moved to CW+ (KIMA-DT2) with a single 1PM run, next to Judge Jerry. Meanwhile, KONG in Seattle will air Storage Wars at 3:30PM weekdays, and KZJO (JoeTV) will air The Jason Show at noon weekdays. He comes from KMSP...is this only Fox/MNTV O&Os airing this, or will it be offered to other stations? Will Storage Wars be uncleared in Yakima? According to my calculations, and Dave Hester's famous catchphrase...YUUUUUP!
  7. A look at KECY-TV 9 (now Fox) in El Centro/Yuma during December 1992. No news operation at this time.
  8. Most of KCTV 5 News at 10, from 6/28/2001, notable for being Wendall Anschutz's final newscast. I didn't post the final goodbye segment... because it was already posted by someone else!
  9. Strange to see so few changes to the lineup here. Besides the CW+ switcharoo with KCYU gaining Seinfeld, and Nick Cannon coming to CW+, new shows aren't making it to my market. We'll see about Young Sheldon, albeit the website has no affiliate listed when I enter a 989XX or 993XX zip code. Unless someone got it last minute, it too goes uncleared. But hey, three reruns of Judge Judy on KIMA.
  10. KSTW CW11 in Seattle, but no pick-up in Yakima/Tri-Cities. A lot of new syndicated shows go uncleared in this small market. I don't mind, it's another court show I don't have to see, but on the other hand, Access Hollywood has gone uncleared in this market for some 10 to 15 years and counting...
  11. You Bet Your Life will be on KREM 2 in Spokane (prime access to boot!), but Zap2It shows absolutely nothing for the Yakima channels. I hope someone cleared it and it hasn't been added yet to the schedules. I'd love to check it out, since Kevin Eubanks will be back, and Jay will be doing a lot of the skits that he did on the old Tonight Show.
  12. WSMV Scene News clip from the summer of 1990 on TV DXing, with WSMV engineer Tom Bryant (who was/is a long-time WTFDA member). Carole Simpson anchors the first 7 minutes of ABC World News Sunday on 4/14/1996, taped from KMGH Denver. No audio on one side, this was in that brief period in between audio splitters on my Betamax VCR.
  13. KAPP/KVEW central WA is still using the pre-2021 logo in their IDs and promos. I'm pretty sure ABC will persuade them to change to the new look by the fall season.
  14. I see no listings for the You Bet Your Life preview show for the week of Labor Day. The plot thickens. It was sold to 98% of the country so I am sure Yakima wasn't left out.
  15. She was pretty good. At this point, Pat Sajak could probably do both shows without a hitch. Tell viewers "I'll see you on Jeopardy" at the end of Wheel... And as for Funny You Should Ask, that awful show needed to be canned two years ago. Jon Lovitz always on there doing mediocre jokes and a $5,000 bonus round? What is this...1971? Brought to you by that guy who brought former TV judges back to do fake court cases. KCYU/KFFX in central Washington adds Seinfeld reruns beginning Labor Day. Divorce Court gets dumped from the schedule. That gives KCYU a 4 hour sitcom block in the afternoon/evening. King of Queens double run, 2 Broke Girls double, Seinfeld double, and LMS double. I assume Young Sheldon will NOT air on KCYU with their sitcom-heavy schedule, and my assumptions about KIMA/KEPR getting reruns may be coming true.
  16. Part of the 11/27/91 News 8 Nightside from KFMB San Diego. And the open to KTLA Channel 5 News at Ten from 8/13/94. Top story about a plane crash near Palmdale that killed three.
  17. KUSA 4:00 at 9News (partial), taped 7/19/2001 Also some News San Diego teasers in this block from 1988, reuploaded from the channel suspensions back in March. Will be posting a 1991 newscast next week from KNSD
  18. NBC probably told their affiliates to replay the 11:00 news rather than go to syndicated programming at 1:37. Thus, everyone seems to be piping in a tape of news (or Lester) rather than a syndicated newsmagazine or a repeat of a talk show.
  19. Repeats of the 11:00 news are running at 1:37am on KING-5 and KNDO-23/KNDU-25 at this time...we'll see what NBC pulls up for 1:35AM.
  20. Part of a KIMA NewsBeat 5:55 broadcast from September 15th, 1989. Colleen Bagnall the anchor, with Gary Peixoto on sports and Stu Seibel's WX. KIMA, KEPR and KLEW aired their evening news at *5:55* for many years, then went back to 6. Not sure what happened...I had two others at the ready. KATU 6/17/99 5PM open WHO NewsCenter from 11/25/93 (partial)
  21. Oof, wonder what that will mean in the ratings. How does PHL-17 do at 7:00 compared to other news or syndicated shows?
  22. https://youngsheldonweeknights.com/local_listings/ Times are up for Young Sheldon. KSTW Seattle takes a double-run from 5-6pm this fall, but entering any '989XX' zip code comes up empty, so it looks like YS is not scheduled to be on any stations - for now. Whoever runs programming at KIMA needs to get Inside Edition moved over to 4:30 this fall and replace the 6:30 timeslot with YS. YS, BBT, Simpsons, what a lineup that would be
  23. Pizza Hut too, a near-carbon-copy of their vintage logo. I'm OK with that!
  24. WRAL News at Five open, 11/16/06 (tornado damage)
  25. Thanks for the info on The Liquidator. Sounds like Storage Wars meets Pawn Stars. But it's a fairly old show to put into reruns...aired from 2012-15 on Canada's OLN network. It was filmed in Burnaby, BC, near Vancouver.
