Steve Bender is back this week. It appears that Fox Weather Live has been reformatted around Steve as the host, with Kiyana as a contributing meteorologist on the show. It appears that the show has been moved permanently back to Studio W with a ton of walk-and-talk segments similar to Ian Oliver's show.
In fact, Kiyana was the contributing meteorologist to both Ian and Steve's shows today.
Kendall has remained on Fox Weather First Weekend for the past 4 weekends and has appeared on Weather Command Mon/Tue (and select Wednesdays) alongside her former co-anchor Stephen Morgan for multiple weeks now. Amy started the month on vacation and then went to SXSW on behalf of Fox Weather last week. I'm assuming she'll be back pretty soon. I guess we'll see where Kendall, Marissa, and Kiyana will appear once Amy returns.
Amy has not returned yet

@Spring Rubber are you here?

Interesting that Kate left to focus solely on News Now, but she was replaced by someone who also has a daily 2 hour show on News Now! Maybe they need to bring back John Seigenthaler…. Remember when he was ‘let go’ with budget cuts and replaced with Lester (who also anchored weekend today at that time)

Marissa Torres is back from maternity leave today, but interestingly, she's on Weather Command and not Fox Weather Live.
This makes me wonder if the fact that Kiyana has been "filling in" on Fox Weather Live Mon-Fri for the past several weeks is actually part of a permanent change.
Pretty sure Amy Freeze hasn’t been back on-air in some time. Anyone know what’s going on? Is Marissa the new host of Weather Command now? She posted on social media something like ‘now that I no longer work nights’…

Kelly Costa posted on social media that she was offered to relocate to NYC and stay with FOX Weather, but she turned it down and hinted that she will be returning to New England and working at a station in her home state. Stay tuned

Liam Martin has left WBZ Boston, to spend more time with his family and to go into a communications career.
That doesn’t sound like a career change allowing one to have more time with family…

“Permanent”…. LOL
she may have requested to shift to mornings for personal reasons? Or perhaps this is her way of easing back in after baby?

I just tuned into today’s 11 am news. Dave Price was at a weather video screen, shot from a slight angle, all looked fine on my TV. So far.
The longer weather segment looks to be in front of green screen. This makes sense and allows viewers to see the graphics in a larger/clearer way. I’ve seen other stations that mix up how they use large video walls vs green screens. IMHO I dislike when stations use the large video walls for weather - especially when they are not the seemless video walls (WFSB, WTIC) as the edges of the LED panels mess with the graphics

Wonder if Phil would go back to DC and join the afternoon edition of “NewsCentral”?
I can see Poppy getting the morning newsroom block on MAX…. Can’t see either of them settling for weekend evenings

What’s the current anchor rotation these days?

I think they made the change about three Saturdays ago on the sixth.
The fake mullions (referred to as border), help distract from the fact that it’s a camera feed, and in my opinion it is an improvement.
Having the border around the top throws it off in my opinion, otherwise it’s good

Morning edition of CNN News Central is back to using stand-ups with full graphics, but the afternoon edition still has Keilar and Sanchez sitting at a desk without studio graphics.
Speculation - the DC set is undergoing election updates

Siobhan McGirl is joining NBC10 as a reporter on Jan 22. She's originally from South Jersey. She gets the coveted weekend morning reporter spot.
Coveted? I assume she’ll report during the week a few days too. Good for her!

Well I stand corrected. The other site has confirmed it’s Telemundo 47’s new studio after all, which I have to say looks great for a Telemundo set, and in my opinion it looks better than WNBC’s. Good for them, too bad it isn’t a set for NBC News/MSNBC, it’d work great for either.
I think it looks great too!

@jrogo - wondering if it’s the WNJU set as it’s very similar to WNBC. Maybe it’s being used for election coverage prior to WNJU moving in?
-
Was Katy Tur anchoring out of a new studio today?? Looked very similar to WNBC’s new studio

Did Alex Witt move to Los Angeles? I noticed her Saturday show was broadcasting from there and a few other times I turned in she was in LA and then other times she was in New York.
-
Long time reporter/anchor Leslie Mayes has quietly exited NBC CT (WVIT). Perhaps upset over the recent anchor announcements and her being passed over for a spot again? Or after 9+ years she was ready for a change?

I haven't seen it aside from the screngrabs, but space-wise it seems more similar to 3C than 3K. Throwing it out there, would it have made more sense to move to 3B as a temporary space and just update 3K? (so they would have more room)? I feel like that may have made more sense; but I suppose the small space is fine for their purposes to bring the news. Then again I forget they are sharing with WNJU so I guess 3K isn't large enough for that split. I also think the set works better for NYL than for News4.
So now I'd currently rank NY sets (as best to worst): WPIX, then WCBS, then WNYW, then WABC (what they were able to do for the 10AM is great), and still WNBC last.
Why do they need a bigger set to present the news? This set has atleast 4 separate areas - main desk w/ largest video wall, a large video wall (also used for weather) large monitor, corner monitor. In the rare occasion they need more space for a special show maybe they would use another studio within 30 rock?
I will say I think the camera shots used for weather are awkward b/c they cut off part of the monitor - perhaps they can’t shoot straight on due to space constraints (if so, that’s a bummer)

Looks like some similarities to the WVIT-NBC CT set, specifically the peacocks on the wall, the mix of some darker wood (used differently than WVIT). Overall it comes across as very small on-air, but an improvement over the previous set for sure.

Appear to still be in 3k as of the 11am show today (10/26) but it very well could be in 3b
has it been confirmed that they are replicating the 3k set in 3b, or should viewers expect a change?

Is tomorrow the big debut day?

Welcome back!!
Ive watched a few times and I think Marissa is a great fit on Weather Command with Stephen Morgan. I do think it’s strange there has been no mention of Amy….i like Amy, but I was not a fan of her appearing as a frequent co-host on ‘Outnumbered’ b/c weather is supposed to be the one medium that has no political bias…
