  1. I know this set isn’t that old, but it’s in need of a refresh. The two large seemless screens used for stand ups are terrible quality for 2023 standards! Also the old weather center turned stand-up space can use a seemless video wall update!

  2. If they have seemless LED screens I hope they are better quality than the ones NBC-CT has… maybe it’s just the way the cameras have to be situated due to space constraints - but the two large video walls used for stand ups are terrible quality on air. IMO they should be replaced with one curved or L-shape video wall

  3. I’m not a big fan of Amy appearing as co-host on an opinion show… now that said - I’ve never watched her on there so I’m not sure what role she is playing….

perhaps she was scheduled to be off Mon-Thurs and is picking up weekend shifts to offset her PTO…with summer and her having school ages kids, this may be better for her family. Keeping in mind this is the first summer since she transitioned to a Mon-Fri schedule.

  4. Is Kelly Costa in the building from 10pm-5am in the event of breaking coverage? Or is she just there to tape her 1/2 hour show and then it’s on repeat, but if break-ins are required it’s someone else??

  5. I hope this schedule change works out for both Stephen Morgan and Ian Oliver. Stephen’s husband often fills in on mornings at NBC News Now - so atleast this aligns their schedules a bit.

Ian and Brigit were a great pair in the past, hopefully she joins him in the 3-6 slot

Stephen and Amy are good together as well.

so is the 12-3 slot just a rotation of the weekend meteorologists? Also, are Steve and Marissa now 6-9pm?

it’s interesting Kiyana’s bio page is missing as she is clearly still there. Maybe they meant to remove someone else?

  6. The constant schedule changes must be frustrating for producers and talent, let alone viewers…. I understand and fully support time off, however I don’t understand why they change length of shows, swap titles around, etc… just have fill-ins and keep the rest the same!

Honestly, not sure why the need for different show names after ‘Weather Command’…. It’s not like the shows are designed around the hosts. Just name the live weather blocks all “FOX Weather LIVE”…

or, what about an afternoon version of Weather Command with Ian as the moderator alongside Bridget followed by an evening edition..

8am-12pm - Weather Command w/Amy , Stephen and rotating panelists (weekend primaries)

12-4pm -Weather Command w/Ian Brigit and rotating panelists (weekend primaries)

4-8pm - Weather Command w/ Marissa, Steve & Kendall Smith as panelist

8pm-10pm - FOX Weather w/ Kelly Costa and Kendall

  7. Does anyone know if Stephen Morgan is just filling in on Weather Command or if he’s a permanent replacement for Ian. I know Ian’s on vacation, but on Monday Stephen and Amy posted ‘officially official welcome’ for Stephen on the show…. Maybe just because it was his first time on the show?

So I realize that yesterday was a holiday full of fill-ins, but what’s the purpose of having Walter fill in for Gray (and Sharrie) at 10pm, only to have Gray fill in at 11pm for Rick?

11pm is a ‘bigger’ show, more prestigious time slot…

I'm surprised that they grabbed someone from Milwaukee as they could easily get any of the meteorologists from the New York-based O&O WNYW.

Exposure…. Showing they have a local connection?

  10. The TV page on CNN.com needs to be updated. Not only does it still have links to old shows like New Day, Right Now, NewsRoom, At This Hour and Don Lemon Tonight, there’s still no page for CNN This Morning and it has Ana Cabrera still referenced as an anchor!

Wednesday 3/29, Fox Weather stayed with the modified schedule yet again. Even though Ian was back from his time off, he didn't appear on Weather Command. Instead, Kelly Costa filled in for him on that show yet again. They stayed with the 3-hour edition of Fox Weather Now from 3pm-6pm ET, where Ian and Brigit were reunited to host the entire 3-hour block together. Across America again did not air in favor of an early start and end to Fox Weather Live from 6pm-9pm ET, and an early start to Fox Weather @ Night at 9pm ET.

Today 3/30, Ian is back on Weather Command, so maybe they're going to return to a normal schedule today.

I always liked Ian and Brigit together. Was Stephen Morgan off yesterday or was he paired with someone else?

  12. Today the 9am hour is branded “FOX Weather First” and co-hosted by Brigit Mahoney and Kendall Smith….

I wonder if Amy’s show was deemed too political? She was appearing as co-host on Outnumbered on FNC… mixing weather with politics doesn’t work!

Ian and Brigit were great together as co-hosts - bring them together again for the 9-12 block’

Jamie Yuccas is based in Los Angeles and occasionally hosts CBS Mornings and Weekend News. That doesn't mean that Natalie can't...

Occasionally - sure…. Thought the comment was she would permanently host it

  14. One thing regarding anchors... To an NBC News Viewer - they should all be recognizable. Vicky Nguyen is on the Today Show as the consumer correspondent. Morgan Radford is a veteran correspondent and occasional guest co-host on weekend-today.  Aaron Gilchrist is the newest to the NBC family, while Kate Snow is another veteran who anchored on MSNBC daily in the past and now is on Weekend Nightly News.

While i have not see Aaron and Kate together, i will say that I don't think Vicky and Morgan have any chemistry. It would almost be better if they moved Philip Mena off Early today and paired him with Morgan or even made Steven Romo an anchor and paired him with one of them.  Vicky and Morgan are great, but just not a good pair.

Another idea would be to pair Morgan with Jose Diaz Balart. The issue there would be location as Jose is based in Miami. Then MSNBC can re-align its daytime line-up and perhaps include Vicky Nguyen there? Or Swap Vicky with Morgan and have Morgan anchor an hour of MSNBC Reports...

  15. The new set really does look great.

question, how does the size compare to that of WVIT-Hartford? I ask because while fairly new, the Hartford set looks low budget and not that good. The ‘big’ LED walls aren’t as expansive as they can be. The dual ones even have terrible resolution and instead of being split with the faux wood should be a continuous curved wall. In fact, I don’t see why WVIT can’t replicate the WMAQ set (other than cost being a factor due to market size)

Here's her tweet. She says NBC News.

    Dosen't say anything about WNBC.

Looks like she’s a ‘NewsBreak’ anchor on MSNBC and probably NBC NewsNow as well… atleast she’s done overnight news updates on MS…. Is Milissa Rehberger still around?? She did these forever
