Loving KABC-TV (ABC7 Los Angeles’) New AccuWeather graphics, long overdue! Feels nice, fresh and soooooo modern and the palm trees! I’m as happy as Dallas Raines, it IS like looking outside the window!

Wow, looks cool! To me honestly, it looks better than I even imagined it! Getting excited for the full look any day now basically!

I know they are, I’m not dumb, what I was really mentioning were these, NOW they look identical.

Is there a visual difference between the two now at this point? They look so incredibly identical, before the WLS ABC Ball was slightly off-centered and higher in the earlier days and now it closely resembles if not identical to WABC. What do you guys think?

 

 

 

Looks really identical to me, now I can’t spot Chicago and New York’s ABC7 logo differences.

KGO ABC7 News has made the switch! Looking nice and liking the old pre COVID pandemic theme too!

Looks cool; looking forward to the other three upgrades, particularly in Philadelphia, very anticipated to see how that one will turn out! Also (unrelated) cool to have a newscast being on the radio, wishing NY could do the same.

The issue with the set is that WABC is not using it to its full potential. You can see just from the 10am show how versatile the set and the lighting elements are.. but it took them over 10 years to try anything different. Even the secondary area with the big screen for weather/traffic and interviews can look dramatically different with the flip of some switches. 
 

That said, I’m glad they made the switch to cleaner, brighter and better background images. It does give the set a minor but nice facelift to match the new graphics. 
 

As for @Vlad’s wish for the new HQ set to be a street side studio — sorry, there will be no street side studios at Disney/ABC’s Hudson Square campus. 
 

 

Aw, well, I know the new Disney/ABC/ESPN campus is going to look great and out of the park but I’ll also miss the street studio, never had a chance to visit. As for the new graphics, I’m glad the talents are back, makes it more distinct from their other stations!

Surprise! Talent opens for ABC7 New York have debuted tonight with the 5p show! my screen grabs to prove it and hopefully someone will get those videos real soon! Looking sleek and fancy nevertheless!

Agreed! The ABC7 LA and Bay Area’s current looks aren’t too bad either and happy that my flagship station here in NY can look and feel like the #1 station at last! I got some dayside captures of the new graphics!

Loving ABC7 New York’s new graphics….AT LAST! Feeling sad about CVD’s voice though, I know he’s up there in age and all but I know it’s not the same and they may replace him with someone else, what a long run since at least the 90s! Here’s my own captures!

Yes they have, after a year and nearly a half after launching their First Alert Weather graphics and nearly a couple of months for First Alert Traffic. how it looks and sounds like:

Good morning! Noticed that my station WABC (ABC7 New York) has now been utilizing Virginia Hamilton (The View, Localish, GMA and GMA3) much more often including the voiceover for Mornings at 10; I wonder if she will be the new voiceover full time for the station when their new graphics debut or will they follow ABC30’s lead? We shall see soon!

Good morning! Noticed these lately from WTVD (ABC11 North Carolina), couldn’t determine if we mentioned it already but they recently this Fall upgraded their First Alert Traffic graphics as well as using the new Proxima Nova font for their happening now at 5 open last night. I wonder if they might be really cooking too. We’ll see.

Cool to see, finally something cooking for the west coast ABC stations, and great seeing the Proxima Nova font as well. OK, KABC (ABC7 LA) you’re due!

Looks like it is, this might be a prototype but we’ll see if they stick with Arial, I like the default Proxima Nova font though. The weather maps on their website and app also use Arial for LiveDoppler 7.

Looks like KGO (ABC7 News Bay Area) may be cooking soon, at least in the AccuWeather department; here’s what their new 7 Day Forecast looks like on their website, they may be debuting their first piece really soon, finally! 

Looks like ABC 30 (Fresno/Central California) has officially made the switch! Streaming the Live @ 3 now! Tried getting my best screenshots from premiere evening.

HEADS UP: Watching KFSN (ABC30) Fresno’s streaming shows and this happened. As you guys like to say, *cough cough* It’s happening! *cough cough*
