24994J 5577
At around 11 AM ET on Thursday (2/28), Pope Benedict XVI boarded a helicopter into retirement. This thread isn't meant to be political or religious, but merely a discussion of the news coverage, be it domestic or international. I've been watching ABC this morning, and I've been really impressed with George Stephanopoulos. This is really one of his first opportunities to anchor a non-political "event" solo, and he is thriving without Giggles slobbering all over the desk. I'm also impressed with the network's graphics for the occasion, considering some of their recent work. http://s1260.beta.photobucket.com/user/24994J/library/ABC%20News%20-%20Farewell%20to%20Pope%20Benedict%20XVI Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12468-coverage-of-the-papal-transition/ Share on other sites
MorningNews 1448
I flipped between ABC and CBS. George was great with his interviews of different cardinals and overall leading coverage. Scott was also great. ABC graphics were good, CBS used their standard special report gfx package.
