Viper550 292 Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/blogstv/56518025-63/ksl-nbc-saturday-channel.html.csp They kept airing "SportsBeat Saturday" when they switched to NBC from CBS, but only because it was apparently quite popular at the time. But, after facing declining ratings,KSL announced that Saturday Night Live will finally air on the station this fall. (For context, the Spirit Prison is the Mormon equivalent to hell, so I was just trying to make an equivalent "hell freezes over" joke)
CircleSeven 1960 Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Wow I didn't see this coming. But KSL's local product have been on a decline for a while so....... But this is shocking news nevertheless.
groupwfan 97 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 That was unexpected from The News Specialists™.
detroiter313 181 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I wonder what KUCW feels about this. Same thing goes for Bonneville International (KSL-TV's corporate parent).
Rusty Muck 4405 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 The must think the show is on its' last legs. Funny how, whenever that perception exists, SNL somehow experiences a resurgence of sorts. Timing wise, at least KSL didn't pick it up LAST season, when Mitt Romney and the LDS were routinely getting skewered.
