TampaBowler 51
Looks like ABC continue to modify their set. Saw this on This Week this past weekend. The wood is gone. Now replaces with a light blue brick motif. I'm digging it. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12859-abc-new-york-set/ Share on other sites
bhratbrat 437
I thought this was the DC bureau Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12859-abc-new-york-set/#findComment-87672 Share on other sites
MorningNews 1448
I thought this was the DC bureau Believe it is. The show relocated to DC in July. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12859-abc-new-york-set/#findComment-87674 Share on other sites
24994J 5575
Nope. This is the 'World News' set in NY. 'This Week' is only being done in DC once a month or so when George is off and either Jon Karl or Martha Raddatz fill in. That back area is where 'WNN' and 'GMA Weekend' used to be done, but now only 'Nightline' is in the nook. They remodeled it a few weeks ago. But again, it is the New York set. Thanks for the correction. Makes sense because I doubted George would have wanted to fly back and forth every weekend. I like the brick look! tvnewsjunkie 7
I believe they use this same type of wood on the GMA set as well http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/slideshow/good-morning-america-studio-years-14424425 Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12859-abc-new-york-set/#findComment-87702 Share on other sites
WXmanTim 88
Thanks for the correction. Makes sense because I doubted George would have wanted to fly back and forth every weekend. I like the brick look! I believe I recall reading that relocating "This Week" to New York was a stipulation of him returning to the show after the failure of Christiane Amanpour. 24994J 5575
So, as of this morning, GMA Weekend is back in the Nightline NookTM with a new desk. It's a slightly smaller version of the desk in the Times Square Studio. It looks acceptable, albeit a little tight in the space. I must say, though, it shoots very well...don't let the video below fool you. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10200780546380174 Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/12859-abc-new-york-set/#findComment-88111 Share on other sites

TampaBowler 51
Anyone else notice the new curved video wall behind Diane on World News? It's a subtle change, but it does give the wide shots a very interesting look.
