10Viewer 338 Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Back to my original question, why don't they just use their cable channel number? Or even better, aren't they on RF 19 anyway?
Guest NewsHound Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Back to my original question, why don't they just use their cable channel number? Or even better, aren't they on RF 19 anyway? Because unlike during the analog era, higher channel numbers are technically irrelevant.
todayshowproducer 22 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 They've updated their website: cbs46.com. Also found this on their website: http://wgcl.images.worldnow.com/images/3323998_G.png. Preview of new logo and possibly the new graphics.

Preview of new logo and possibly the new graphics. It begins. While I despise this rebrand, I will admit that the new website looks much better than the old one.
Guest NewsHound Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 It begins. While I despise this rebrand, I will admit that the new website looks much better than the old one. Nice new website, finally updating that old tired Meredith WorldNow look to something more modern, almost reminiscent of the Media General station's WorldNow sites, but that logo. Gag. :ack: :puke:
skbl17 188 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 One of the redesigned ENG vans, per Stephany Fisher's Twitter page: https://twitter.com/FisherCBS46/status/438143488551813120/photo/1 That logo...not even the ENG vans can save that.

TexasTVNews 1378 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 It's alright, but the 46 is ugly than ever. anybody can better that.
todayshowproducer 22 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Stephany Fisher also commented in that tweet to expect the changes today (2/25) at 4pm
Hickman360 21 Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Stephany fisher put up an interesting blog just now regarding the change: http://stephanyfisher46.wordpress.com/2014/02/25/cbs46/
mark 55 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I don't mind the logo or the set and I actually like the move back to CBS46. The "Protecting Your Money" (as seen on their Facebook cover) thing is really bad though. That blog post said that their "focus as a station is on money – protecting, saving, helping spend wisely." This will cheapen the brand (since I'm sure they're not talking about CNBC-style money coverage).
