WNBC 11pm news overnight replay problem

I don't know if it was a one time glitch but,

I happened to be up and tuned to the replay at 4:30am of the 6/1 11pm news cast,

I noticed the HD video was being played back squished to fit the 4:3 frame.

You could see the HD graphic on the lower thirds on the SD feed and any 4:3 video became pillarboxed on the SD feed.

 

I also noticed there was a seperate RECORDED EARLIER graphic for the HD an SD feed.

Any idea why this would happen?

Perhaps the person who is at the controls of this sorta thing made a big mistake.

[NEPA 0]

Looks to me like it was recorded in SD.
