The theme is actually VERY nice and is a reorchestration of their longtime musical signature. The virtual set work is amazing too, not to mention amazing infographics. The Bundesliga table and weather reports are impressive.

It's not a virtual set although it does look like one.

If I'm not mistaken they're the only major German newscast without a virtual set.

Nice make over and good to hear they've kept the six-note signature they've had since Day 1.

Here's an interesting tidbit...the new theme is by Hans Zimmer's company, Remote Control Productions. The old theme was by Non-Stop Music. Interestingly, they seem intent on employing American composers with German roots.
