NYNewsCoverage 308 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Well, since a WWOR thread was created a while ago (and they obviously no longer do any more news), I figured there should be a "WLNY-TV 10/55 News" thread started, since they are becoming a serious contender in local news, especially with the addition of the weekend news @ 9. There have been no incidents, or any happenings going on at the station tonight, but I figured I'd start this thread just to talk about the station in general. Just to mention, I read an article in my local newspaper the other day, and it has an article about how WLNY's News at 9 ratings have been fantastic. That is the reason that they added the weekend news. So, here's to more added newscasts in the future!
Newsfan 9 Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 There are ads on the buses here in NY for WLNY news so it's nice to see them promoting the news on Channel 10/55 now.
NYNewsCoverage 308 Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 Matt Kozar is anchoring the news at 9 tonight in for Dick Brennan.
NYNewsCoverage 308 Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 Carolina Bermudez will return to radio on the Clear Channel and join Cubby Bryant as the new co-host of the KTU morning show starting next Wednesday.
nynewslover 280 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Carolina Bermudez will return to radio on the Clear Channel and join Cubby Bryant as the new co-host of the KTU morning show starting next Wednesday. Cindy Vero is leaving?
anchorman 96 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Really surprised to see Carolina back on radio. It will be interesting to see how the ratings go versus her former show. Cindy Vero is leaving? I don't think it was Cindy's choice.
NYNewsCoverage 308 Posted October 24, 2014 Author Posted October 24, 2014 I have to say it is on nights like these that WLNY is very beneficial to WCBS, as they ran coverage of the Ebola press conference right until 10:30.
