TriangleTriadMediaNews 267 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 WNCN reporter Derick Waller posted pictures of their new set under construction, should debut sometime next month!
MidwestTV 1243 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 How long have they had that set, 2007 or so? FX Group did it for them. I remember thinking that it was one of the coolest sets around at the time, haha.

Guest Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Looks like they've debuted the new set. Thoughts? http://www.wncn.com/story/26736494/wncn-debuts-new-set-today-at-6-pm
MidwestTV 1243 Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Well it's certainly different, that's for sure. But could they have chosen a more boring main backdrop? Yeesh.
KRAP-TV 146 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 It's very bland. I liked their previous set more.
ns8401 957 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 It's a boring and safe set. Now I know where Andrea Parquet-Taylor went after leaving the ND job at WXYZ...
rkolsen 1686 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 It's a boring and safe set. Now I know where Andrea Parquet-Taylor went after leaving the ND job at WXYZ... Agreed - they need to put a monitor wall behind them or a better duratrans because it looks plain.
TennTV1983 807 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Their new set leaves a lot to desire. Parts of it look more like a Clickspring knockoff than anything else FX has done. Agreed - they need to put a monitor wall behind them or a better duratrans because it looks plain. They should've done what WFLA did and use six vertical monitors as a backdrop.
MidwestTV 1243 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 They should've done what WFLA did and use six vertical monitors as a backdrop. Actually, I wonder if they could have made that wall a rear-projection screen of some sort. That might have looked nice. One thing I will credit the set for, it has a very warm and home-y feeling. I do like that.
NEOMatrix 1307 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Set has a mixture of WCMH and WKRG but it's much, much better than the latter.
