The app is completely redesigned with a cleaner, easier to navigate interface. This updated app is tailored to mobile devices, as the previous version was more of an app version of the NBC O&O websites. While the previous version worked well, it was hard to navigate at times, and many of the links would not work properly so this is a much needed update. Pics below: One interesting thing I noticed on KNSD's app is that they have three different 7's in use! The different 7's appear on the app icon, the splash page and the left menu button. App icon is a white-contrast friendly logo, left screen icon is a badly-cropped logo in Photoshop (prolly because of iOS logo limitations, who knows) and the splash page logo is basically a different rendering of the current logo but it's still the same KNSD. The second logo has actually been used on air during the Olympic countdown graphic and whenever they add the olympic rings to the bug. They've branded as that since they moved in with the Hartford Courant back in 09. (It's supposed to be pronounced as "Fox Connecticut", like WTXF in the mid-90s, with their "Fox Philadelphia" branding.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
