For those that are interested, the morning news open is up. Eyewitness News Daybreak is no more. I never did get to record the 11PM news last night due to me falling asleep before it came on (that's what happens when you wake up at 3:30 AM for work).

WFTV did away with the Daybreak name a few months ago. Anyone know if WSOC still uses it?

They do.

The Good Morning America news update still had the old open but the new music.

Come on Cox, embrace the 7 day forecast just like WJAX/WFOX, WHBQ, and WFXT. You want the "weekend always in view" then embrace the 7 day forecast where the weekend is always in view.

The banter between the anchors is cringeworthy

Nice package for WFTV. Shame that Cox dosen't standardize otherwise it would be a great look for the other Cox stations (*cough WSB *cough).

I agree that this is a nice package. It'd be nice for WPXI too because, and this might just be me here, the package they have now looks very generic. And the music is very generic too. I really wish they would get Guardian. Its becoming a favorite of mine...

The most awkward phase of growing pains I've ever seen. With graphics, they had their OTS revert to the previous package (solely for election coverage) yesterday; as far as music, they had an open with Inergy last night for the 11, and had their news update at 8:55 featuring such.
