I forgot to post it here but I think that it launched last week since the other past week I noticed that they were still using a green screen. Anyway, it was posted today on Newscaststudio so you can see some parts of the Newsplex.

Here are some screengrabs that I took yesterday:

*And sorry if anyone entered here and didn't see any pictures, I posted the thread without them*

I like the bigger emphasis on LED screens across the plex; gives more variety to the stand-up and desk shots. Makes the over-the-top style of the news more enjoyable (and even tolerable).

Plus--semi-related, but the glass floor in front of the big stand-up screen looks awesome. Kinda like walking on air.

I'm not sure but I've always said that the standup area at both WSVN and WHDH look identical to the one at Univision's O&O in Miami:

Well, I have this picture that I didn't post to point out something I noticed. There's a part on the set that it has a a piece of wood on the wall where I marked it in red. It could be something else that they didn't add, probably.

Take a look:

Am I the only one on this site who thinks WSVN/WHDH are pretty ugly? The time for design like this has come and gone. The newsplex may be refreshed but it still looks like something you'd see ten years ago. The graphics are still awful too.

I also find the graphics garbage. The looks still look old and outdated, and they need a fresh change-up.

The sets are good OTHO, especially after all the refeshes.

I agree, I really like the sets, but the graphics are dated, especially when there are so many newer graphics packages out there today.

Hold up. Is that bug really telling us that 7 is in HD? In what's now 2017? Nope. Big big big no-no to me. I thought we had moved past that stage. It was bad enough when WCBS was still telling us their news was in HD as late as 2013 or whatever.
