Eat News 4745
This is a full blown Tokyo style Godzilla Newscopter launch. The day this was shot there was a report of a Godzilla and Mothra fight off Tokyo bay. One after the other the newscopters launch... NHK... TBS Fuji ANH.... The japanese don't mess around when it comes to newscopters...full sized...dual pilots...IFR and top speeds to stay ahead and away from Gamera, Godzilla, Baby Godzilla ,Giant Robots and Transformers. The 2 flying lizards were already gone...but it was a good practice for when they do arrive. Eat News 4745
Some look like they have two gimbals as well. From the limited tech info I have on these ships... Most are the same configuration bell 430's. Those 2 pod mounted spheres are part of the dual transmit antennas. There are also microwave receive and omni transmit antennas. Other configurations have the antennas forward and rear centerline. They don't use the US style troll system pods because I presume the higher operating altitudes and lower rx site elevations and locations. These ships can hop signals bird to bird...ground to air and a few other ways. Here is an interior ..it's a Fuji Tv bird from Sengai. Much of this is in English...you can zoom into the buttons for better view. This bird has a retractable omni antenna in the stowed position. Eat News 4745
Some look like they have two gimbals as well. I believe they would contain gimbals to stabilize the dual directiional microwave horns. The antennas are much smaller due to the higher microwave frequency than those in the US.
