MarkBRollins88_v2 350
NPG’s KRDO in Colorado Springs is on a temp set as of this morning. Anchor said the build should last a few months. MarkBRollins88_v2 350
The station posted a photo timeline of the construction on its website. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/17268-new-krdo-set/#findComment-230903 Share on other sites
MarkBRollins88_v2 350
Here’s a look inside the studio now. Look at all the years worth of floor tile buildup. ABC 7 Denver 1715
I would like to note that KRDO has also had new graphics for about a year (a decent knockoff of the Tribune CBS Package). They've also been using this logo, recently (even though according to Logopedia, they've used it since 2013, but it's yet to be used in a newscast. Also, KRDO is the last station in the country to use Counterpoint. Let's hope they get much needed brand refresh with this new set including new music and logo. Was hoping for new music and graphics. The monitors behind them look like like something you’d see in a standard issue Hearst set. 10 minutes ago, TSSZNews said: Pretty nice set for the market! A-men brother. Tbh every set in that market is pretty nice for being market 85. in particular, plenty of major market stations Would be jealous of KOAA’s set. The only one I don’t like is KKTV’s. While it’s fairly new... it was built during the time when everyone thought augmented reality was the way of the future. So it’s pretty much just a poorly keyed green screen and a desk. KXRM’s is a standard issue Nexstar set. Nothing that sets it apart... but nothing bad to say about it either. However, I’ll place KRDO’s new set as a close #2 behind KOAA. Once we see more, it might be enough to rise up more. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/17268-new-krdo-set/#findComment-234102 Share on other sites

MarkBRollins88_v2 350
Here’s a fuller look. Nice. Definitely mimics a Hearst set. An upgrade from what they had before. Seems like it could use a few more monitors and stand up areas. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/17268-new-krdo-set/#findComment-234156 Share on other sites

Surely they could have made the weather pod bigger so all monitors fit neatly inside of it rather than those two wings jutting out, unless that was intentionally the look they were going for?
