AmericanErrorist 149
Quote KUTV Salt Lake City reporter Hayley Crombleholme didn’t realize she had a scoop. Crombleholme was sent to the city’s Vivint Arena to get so-called “man-on-the-street” reactions from fans about the local NBA franchise, the Utah Jazz, requiring proof of vaccination from those attending games this coming season. The reporter found someone who fit the bill: Jazz guard — and former Laker — Jordan Clarkson. But Crombleholme did not realize with whom she was speaking and Clarkson, who averaged a career high 18.4 points per game last season and was voted the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year, played along. https://deadline.com/2021/09/tv-reporter-interview-street-nba-the-team-how-d-1234844207/ Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/18504-kutv-reporter-interviews-utah-jazz-player-without-realizing/ Share on other sites
TheRob 938
It looks like he was a good sport about it, and his teammates loved it too. I've seen that happen a few times. In one instance that never aired, but got into the Tribune system anyway, KSWB interviewed Drew Brees as "MOS" about something that happened in La Jolla, California, where he lives. Georgie56 3307
NBC Nightly News actually interviewed former pro softball player and current ESPNer Michele Smith for a story on a hurricane earlier this year (Smith actually owns a property in the state).
