Kenneth Kissel 284 Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 DK Pittsburgh Sports has terminated its contract with Pittsburgh PA NBC Affiliate WPXI (owned by Cox Media Group) after a badly researched story aired on their newscast and social media by reporter Nicole Ford. DK Pittsburgh Sports has been helping WPXI with sports coverage for 8 years. https://dkpittsburghsports.com/2022/06/23/dkps-terminates-partnership-wpxi-tv-dk https://www.wpxi.com/news/local/downtown-pittsburgh-businesses-impacted-by-escalating-violence-liberty-avenue/LDCTLH3PTZAELKMVLFRGNL4BOQ/?taid=62b0d8d0892b0a0001d894c0&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2022/6/23/he-has-terminated-his-agreement-with-this-pittsburgh-station
Superdude 108 Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 Good riddance, The Final Word doesn't hold a candle to KDKA-TV's competing Sports Showdown. I believe WTAE has a competing sports show as well.

Tyler 151 Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 I absolutely love this. The local media needs to be called out more often. They report things in one community and then not in others, when it suits their narrative. Props to Dewan and DK Sports for not just calling WPXI out, but actually doing something about it.
Yankees4life 564 Posted June 28, 2022 Posted June 28, 2022 Good. I wish more news outlets are called out of their BS like this from their partners/sponsors
