WHDH Refresh Underway

All newscasts are now on a green screen again showing a recorded loop of the newsplex. The refreshed newsplex will make its debut along with a new graphics and music package in the very near future.

I like the SVN graphics...nice use of light, dimension, make the logo heroic, and easy to read. They keep  offering a. refreshing difference from all the dull, bland flatness out there.

Agreed; it's strange to say, but compared to most groups Sunbeam's style, even with all the crashes/fire/crime news, seems more mature and settled than many other larger groups, and it's fully consistent. If you compared a 1993 newscast to a 2023 newscast, the formula doesn't really change, but it does adapt.

Same music, featuring the signature WHDH notes. The graphics will be different however.

It looks like the green screen is gone. I don’t notice anything different really. Is the screen in the back one screen instead of multiple little ones maybe?

Correct, the multiple monitor setup has been replaced by an ultra high resolution seamless display panel identical to sister station WSVN. Right now the latest work involves the 7 Weather Center. It has been gutted, is under a full renovation and will make it's debut in a few weeks. 17 years in that current weather center, wow! Last to come will be the revised graphics and music package, most likely in a month or so based on current info.

Weather Center is coming along nicely. It'll be lots of blue and silver with a "cloud" backlit duratrans upper border.
