Axiom81 73 Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Not a huge fan of these variations in the lower third banners when you compare it to the right logo. It looks a bit messy. WISC-TV did update their font's recently to a more bolded look (at least Weather did) in the last 2 weeks, so I wonder if its coming soon to them.
Dave Lampstein 294 Posted March 13 Posted March 13 These are awful. Also, why have such a massive lower third banner and not use a condensed font or two lines of text? Why is all the animation so snappy and lazy?! Why use Gill Sans at all???

norcalTVfan 58 Posted March 15 Posted March 15 KXLY appears to be the originator of the update and executes much better. There are still elements of the old package appearing, including the 2-box. KAPP/KVEW should’ve followed their big sister’s lead and copied the look completely. I also wish they’d drop the “Apple Valley” thing and just be KAPP (cap) KVEW (K-view) News Now like they were. These are the best graphics in the market — they’re up against the tired Sinclair graphics on KIMA/KEPR and whatever crap Cowles makes in-house on KNDO/U.
Axiom81 73 Posted May 6 Posted May 6 (edited) WISC-TV went under a graphics refresh about a month ago...and weather graphics have been overhauled in the process. Will say this was an upgrade vs their previous package...but the banners have gotten "larger" for weather . Ill try to get some before and after photos. Edited May 6 by Axiom81

The old one looks leaps and bounds better to me even if it looks amateurish...also, that's not even the current La-Z-Boy logo, and the way they've squashed it looks awkward
