DucNguyen0131 66 Posted Tuesday at 04:39 PM Posted Tuesday at 04:39 PM (edited) And now KODE got its new graphics, format and music package and a new voiceover! But as Gray changed graphics to GrayONE, Nexstar changed voiceovers to SpotVoice. Edited Tuesday at 07:54 PM by DucNguyen0131 1
swaggyboi128 7 Posted Tuesday at 05:58 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:58 PM 1. Why did you start each sentence with but? (I'm aware English probably isn't your first language) 2. What does the VO change have to do with GrayONE? 3. I'm sorry but that MOD-03 open is just too high-quality for the cheap podcast format, like it's so jarring to go from professional news graphics to something that was only meant to be watched on phones.

But corrected to And now Nexstar had to switch it’s voiceovers on most stations to SpotVoice to cut costs, just like Gray recently did when they switched it’s graphics on most stations to GrayONE to cut costs Nexstar will roll out it’s format Edited Tuesday at 07:56 PM by DucNguyen0131

tyrannical bastard 4683 Posted yesterday at 12:43 AM Posted yesterday at 12:43 AM I posted about this in the corporate thread, but it looks like Nexstar is rolling out the podcast format going forward. In this case, it actually replaces newscasts and may be a side effect of their recent bloodletting. Podcasts simplify the production process to the point where the hosts can literally run the show themselves.
TVLurker 389 Posted yesterday at 01:52 AM Posted yesterday at 01:52 AM (edited) other TV groups are definitely going to copy this format for their own stations, why invest money in a set/production crew/reporters when you can have a screen behind you and a microphone? 2013 used to be a better time for podcasting, now that it's gotten more mainstream; it just looks cheap as hell. if broadcast TV is going to regress to low budget podcasting then what's the point of broadcast TV anymore? major change needs to happen. mouseboy33 137 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago (edited) Thats horrible. Who is going to watch this mess. Thats a horrible format. They give it the sound and the graphical look of a traditional newscast and its just a cheap podcast. I dont like the casual opening and chatty talk. Just give us the news. Awful. Ive seen cheaply made podcasts that look better than that. The double box and misaligned screens in the background. Everything is just bad about this. Yeah local news is dying because they all started doing the same thing because of consultants ruining the business, but this is awful. Edited 16 hours ago by mouseboy33
sfomspphl 545 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) It is....different I guess something to try in the duopoly markets but feels like a long shot and not visually appealing I like the local nature shots they use for the station IDs Edited 1 hour ago by sfomspphl
