shorewx 1 Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Time for a New Weather anchor then..cause no way in hell is lynda gonna get up earlier to be in the studio.
Link 3 Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I guess its only a matter of time until the network morning newscasts move up to 4am EST so that WABC, WCBS, and WNBC and other network affiliates across the country can start their local morning newscasts at 4:30am.
simrox9 0 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 KABC in Los Angeles already started a 4:30am newscast a couple of months ago. I think this will be the trend for network o&o's in the near future.
Link 3 Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Why not just move it up to 4am?? Nashville's ABC, CBS, and NBC stations all start their morning news at 4am now! I didn't think stations had that big of an audience at 5am as it was let alone 4am! It's like they just want to see which station can provide the most newscasts.
Vlad 334 Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 4:30, wow thats incredibly early, lol. Again, its more strain on the anchors and reporters and the entire team pretty much who have to be up even earlier now to prepare the news. I don't think New Yorkers in general really need to be up that early since there really isn't that much driving to do like the Angelinos do. (Since they rely more on the roads to get where they need to go) whilst us New Yorkers, use Mass transit to get where we need to go. So the ratings could fair a little less or perhaps fair quite well, anyway we'll see what happens.

No, WTVF starts their news at 4:25am. The other two stations (WSMV and WKRN) start at 4, while WZTV does their morning news at 5.
