The Weavers of the Denver Nine O'Clock News Scene

If you watch Denver's Nine O'Clock News from 1991 on, you would know the similarities:

KWGN Channel 2 - Beverly Weaver has paired with co-anchor Dave Young from 1991-1998, when Ernie Bjorkman made a comeback, and this was before and after KWGN signed on with the new WB Network, now a CW affiliate.

KDVR FOX-31 - Libby Weaver co-anchors with former KCNC and KUSA Sportscaster Ron Zappollo, and has been since 2000, when KDVR finally got a news department and a Nine O'Clock Newscast.

The Anchor Format - Female Weaver on the Left, Male Co-Anchor on the right: Beverly was on the left, and Dave Young was on the right (KWGN - 1991-1998), and Libby is on the left while Zappollo is on the right (KDVR - 2000-now).

I don't think Beverly and Libby are related.

Where are they now - Libby is still at the FOX affiliate, and Beverly is anchoring on KOA Radio and hosting a show on Denver8 (Public Access channel owned by the City and County of Denver).

Interesting, isn't it?
