Alex 0 Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Via SFLTV.com: It looks like NBC6, WTVJ will finnaly be getting the new NBC O&O updates. Because of the called off WTVJ sale to Post Newsweek, NBC6 was left out of the O&O site and grapics update. Well thats looking like it may change very soon. Full story here. It's also worth noting that, WTVJ is currently the only NBC O&O without the new site design.
eyewitness_news 5 Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 That will surely change in the coming months, that is, if NBC issues a new "Locals Only" design for WTVJ's website. How does NBCMiami.com or NBCSouthFlorida.com sound?
Alex 0 Posted January 13, 2009 Author Posted January 13, 2009 The would be using NBCMiami.com. NBCMiami.com already forwards to NBC6.net
seriouslythough 0 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 If you look at http://stage.www.nbcmiami.com/ you'll see a skeleton layout of the page (as the guy above me reported).

Amra 171 Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I'd rather have the old website than the new one.
jero23 105 Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I'd rather have the old website than the new one. Amen, to that. The new NBC O&O sites are atrocious, and way too generic. The irony is that have "locals only", but the sites are as about as localized as a Starbucks.
qunewsguy 378 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 And yet, for some reason, visitor numbers for several don't appear to have changed much since the swapovers according to alexa.com. I don't get how dumbed-down, hard to navigate sites can still be popular.

qunewsguy 378 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 you really can't go by alexa.com.... That site is just a guess.. Just a guess, but unfortunately the best guess the public's got access to.
Link 3 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I'm glad WTVJ didn't merge with WPLG...I think it would have been a mistake.
