wabceyewitness 827 Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Just saw the cutest promo ever.... a group of young school kids from Tuscan Elementary School in Maplewood, NJ...singing a jingle in their music class, along with b-roll of kids playing in the snow, sledding, etc. on, presumably, a snow day. The weatherman is saying, that snow is on the way, the sun is disappearing, the sky is turning gray The Accu-weather forecast, i know it wont be wrong and this is why i sing this song... There'll be no school tomorrow No school tomorrow No school tomorrow, if it snows! There'll be no school tomorrow No school tomorrow No school tomorrow, if it snows! And it just ends with a simple graphic that reads: Eyewitness News School Closings On Air (TV screen graphic) On Line (computer graphic) On the go (Cell phone graphic)
qunewsguy 378 Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Welcome to the creative genius of Jim Gorham. I'm glad to see his touch is finally starting to show in their promos. He did wonders at WFSB.
wabceyewitness 827 Posted January 28, 2009 Author Posted January 28, 2009 I'm assuming Mr. Gorham is their new Creative Services Director? I hope WABC does more unique promos like this one... and I also hope they revamp their cheesy, put-together-in-five-minutes POP promos. They should look to their older siblings at ABC News for great examples of POP promos.
Jess 1116 Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I remember someone did that type of promo in Philly... ...mayyyyybe KYW Newsradio...?

qunewsguy 378 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I'm assuming Mr. Gorham is their new Creative Services Director? He is indeed.
