eyewitness_news 5 Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 WTIC recently changed their bug. It's now the "Fox CT" bug rather than the "Fox 61" bug. Obviously, they've started using the "Fox Connecticut" moniker since August.
90stvland 1 Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I wondered if this meant they were going to change their branding. Does this mean that their newscasts will be "Fox CT News at...?" Also, I thought they were supposed to be moving into the Courant building sometime soon.
mediadorkx07 0 Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 We'll be called "FOX61 Connecticut" for the time being. You'll be seeing two logos.. the FOX CT logo and the Fox 61 logo. Eventually it'll become FOX CT News. We launch in HD next Saturday.
mediadorkx07 0 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Another behind the scenes walk-through of our new studio http://tinyurl.com/yd2pvvr
eyewitness_news 5 Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 I will definitely be watching tomorrow night when Fox 61 News becomes "Fox Connecticut News." But if the news is airing on WTXX and not Fox 61 (now Fox Connecticut), will the news title still be called "Fox Connecticut News"?
mediadorkx07 0 Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Right now when that happens, we simply call it the 'News at Ten' but you still see all the Fox graphics. That'll more than likely continue.
90stvland 1 Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 looks awesome, can't wait to watch tonight!
mediadorkx07 0 Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 If you missed our debut tonight, here's the first 12 minutes of the news http://www.fox61.com/videobeta/watch/?watch=89347b85-8a39-46e6-9e1a-4967ae0c36fc&src=front
Jess 1116 Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Interesting... they've switched to the new Fox TARDIS look...
90stvland 1 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 The graphics and studio look really great but I can't stand the new theme. What happened to the Fox O&O theme?
eyewitness_news 5 Posted December 14, 2009 Author Posted December 14, 2009 Ecchhh!!! And what happened to Bob Tracey? As for the new news theme -- not very Fox-y.
tw-804 194 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 They dropped OSI's "FOX Affiliate News Theme" for Stephen Arnold's "Indie-Band News"?! Wrong choice.
ThatSowislander 52 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 They dropped OSI's "FOX Affiliate News Theme" for Stephen Arnold's "Indie-Band News"?! Wrong choice. It has become Tribune's unofficial music package...
SFTV 532 Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 how did this Tribune station get a hold of the FOX O&O HD Graphics?! KSWB and KTXL should pick these HD Graphics up since these 2 stations use the same first generation mock like L3 graphics
lugnuts6 91 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 I notice many times while watching KTLA,WGNamerica and WPIX that the famed "TRINUNE BROADCASTING" end tag no longer graces the close of their newscasts..anyone else have noticed this, I wonder why the omitting?
jero23 105 Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 how did this Tribune station get a hold of the FOX O&O HD Graphics?! KSWB and KTXL should pick these HD Graphics up since these 2 stations use the same first generation mock like L3 graphics I have a feeling local management makes up the decision on whether or not they going to use the FOX Tardis (O&O) HD look. KTVI, KDVR are both Local TV stations and they use them. WXIN, a Tribune owned station uses them as well. WJW and WITI, are both Local TV stations and broadcasts in HD doesn't use them at all. I prefer FOX Tardis over the modified version of the original O&O graphic packages that other Local TV stations are using.
NewsMan 0 Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 They dropped OSI's "FOX Affiliate News Theme" for Stephen Arnold's "Indie-Band News"?! Wrong choice. I agree! When I heard it, I thought eww.
