bobwvectv13 0 Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Does anyone know of stations that use lower third crawls in shows other than the morning show? I'm researching this for an idea I'd like to try. Thanks!
PTVNews 196 Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 KPTV does at 11PM. I think also at 4, 5 and 8PM.
Tyler 151 Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 WPGH FOX 53 (former Sinclair station) in Pittsburgh uses one during the 10PM news, which is produced by WPXI.
TennTV1983 807 Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 All of the Sinclair stations used to do crawls...not sure about now though. Some of Sinclair's stations still do. WZTV in Nashville is one of them.
NewsJunkie247 1 Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 WTAJ in Altoona, PA and WBRE in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, PA (both owned by Nextar) have crawls during all of their newscasts.
SFTV 532 Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 KFMB CBS 8 San Diego on all of its NEWS 8 newscasts
cityprod 9 Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 In the UK, there are no newscasts outside of the 24 hour news channels that have a crawl. Only GMTV has a crawl at all, and that I believe is only between 6am and 8am. Outside of that, nobody does it on standard news bulletins.
tw-804 194 Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 WWBT NBC 12 in Richmond: Morning, noon and 11:00 newscasts. WRIC TV 8 (ABC): Only for sports segments.
PelicanGuy 117 Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 All of the Sinclair stations used to do crawls...not sure about now though. WEAR does on all newscasts. WAFB (Raycom station) has their crawl go vertical with paragraphs on all newscasts. WWL scrolls weather info on all newscasts.
Oliverolang 41 Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 WAFB stopped doing that not too long ago, probably because of this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/failpost/3694778887/
Mrtraveler01 738 Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 KSDK was the only one in St. Louis that does it, although KMOV had one for a while but got rid of it. In KC, KSHB uses one for their morning newscast, as well as KMBC similar to what they do at their sister stations like WESH. KCTV's just scrolls the weather forecast for different cities. WDAF had one but I think they've gotten rid of it, haven't checked lately.
TrfRptr 3 Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 WPTA/WISE (Indiana's Newscenter) does in Fort Wayne for all newscasts.
