According to our "trusty" old Wikipedia article, she was indeed a former ABC News correspondent and overnight anchor for World News Now, and now she currently is a reporter for WNYW and serves as a weekend and weekday sub-anchor so she's basically a substitute anchor for Dari. She definitely has the experience and she and Ernie seem to have great chemistry together too just like Dari so she'd be a good replacement for Dari should anything happen.
