She wasn't bad looking. But still she had mighty big boots to fill when channel 2 hired her. She still came across as "cold" to me. Oh well at least she gets to root for the Packers now :( Congratulation Anne

In terms of looks or journalistic ability? I wouldn't consider Diann Burns much of a looker, but YMMV.

Anne actually was a really good reporter at WBBM too after she was taken off the 6PM and 10PM anchor chair. I liked her.. I'm sure if the station's financial circumstances were a bit different at the time she was let go, they may have very well kept her. She had better chemistry with Rob Johnson at the anchor desk than Kate Sullivan currently does.. Anne has ALOT of friends and connections in Chicago. I'm sure a couple would have liked to take her over to their stations too..

I'm sure San Diego would have taken her back too. However, my feeling is that she didn't want to go too far because I think she intends on landing back in the Chicago market in the future.. Whether it's 2 years, 5 years, 10 years from now.. Who knows. But she really made clear a while back that she felt Chicago was where she wanted to be..
