justin2kx 237
Right now, "Millionaire" has a special week of shows in which the show gives money to much needed charities during the holiday season chosen by the local stations the show airs on. The colleagues then fly to NY to play for a million dollars to "Play it Forward", this week's theme for the charity that is close to their heart or rather have a connection to. I'll update it in case you haven't followed it yet but it's fun watching so far. They are: WTSP 10 News Tampa (CBS) (Mon) Keith Jones-Anchor (14 year old daughter with incurable heart disease) Ginger Gadsden-Anchor (Mother (2x) and older brother (with 4 stents) survivors of Heart attacks) Charity: American Heart Association Total: $5,000 (guaranteed for all participants this week), lost the question in part of majority of 'ask the audience' KTLA 5 LA (CW) (Mon-Tue) (the duo that got the most chemical questions) Frank Buckley-Anchor (13 year old son recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes) Dave Malkoff- Assignment Reporter (and aspiring game show host) (*HEA-VAGE!!!* if you saw the show, you would know what that funny moment was) Charity: Juvenile Diabetes Research Total: $20,750 (walk-away with 2Qs left from Round 1) WBTV 3 News Charlotte (CBS) (Tue-Wed) Paul Cameron-Anchor Maureen O' Boyle-Anchor (Yes, also former host of 'EXTRA' and before "A Current Affair") Charity: The Greater Enrichment Program (a local afterschool program where kids while parents are at work, get help by their teachers or mentors with their homework or practice for tests. The program was cited by maureen for helping one kid struggling from failing middle school turning around to graduate first in his class from Morehouse) Total: $43,500 (walk-away from $100k) KHQ (Q6) Spokane (NBC) (Wed-Thu) Dan Kleckner-Anchor (Known Special Olympians from the event in the area for about 25 years) Stephanie Vigil-Anchor Charity: Special Olympics Total: $25,000 (continues tomorrow) There you have it. Wondering if there's any news duo you'd think or like to see play millionaire this week or next time around? I would like to see anyone from the WGN morning news since the infamous famous bridge goof that attracted millions of views on YouTube so their personalities can be exposed more nationally, as if they haven’t already (ex: pat tomasulo once hosted “Live with Regis and Kelly” alongside Ripa) all they need is to have WGN America to simulcast the morning news across America for the masses to see what’s the hooplah is all about? It would be a great alternative compared to staled and established like GMA and TODAY. And BTW as a native New Yorker, of course I would like to see anyone from WABC-TV Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/6953-anyones-watching-millionaire-this-week/ Share on other sites
24994J 5577
Just so you know, Lourdes Duarte and Marcus Leshock of WGN will be on Thursday, and no one from WABC is going to be on at all.
