  2. Where else could he end up in the Tampa Bay area? WFLA has Cate, WTSP has Roundtree and Billi, and WTVT has Wilson and just acquired Chris Cato. I'm not familiar with BN9 now since my parents have Fios so what else could he do unless it's a lateral move to mornings or weekends or maybe just special reporting? I can only see him going to WFLA to be in a Wes Sarginson type of role and anchor only at 5.

  3. If someone is going to post on here, I just ask that they do their homework before posting something that is clearly out dated and out of touch.

  4. I've forgotten how good a team Robin and George are together, without 12 other voices around them.

  5. Sounds like the Cliff's Notes version of Tired TV Terms.

  6. How bad was it? I can definitely see them trending down with the stupid format they instituted a few months ago... How did KNSD and the others do?

  7. It's really too bad they didn't do something like this for their 20th anniversary last year... 20 hours of WGN Morning News, now that would've been fun. This GMA stream is pretty cool though... I've found myself tuning in a few times, and I'm not really even a fan of the show.

  8. Excuse while my bitchy inner "fangirl" comes out... Nobody here is holding a gun to your head, forcing to watch either GMA or Today. Call me when a CBS This Morning reaches 10 years, much less 40 years. Also, give me a call when they actually reach 2nd place. That said, I take no issue with how any of the news divisions, network or cable, conduct their morning shows. That way, there's a product for everyone, but don't get on my case for watching one of the many options. Heck, GMA's not even my usual morning show. I regularly worship at the church of Larry, Robin, and Paul.

  9. Gray and Nexstar have lots of room to consolidate in the smaller markets. But if one goes after the other, it would cause a slew of conflicts. The smaller groups or individual stations are sale bait now more than ever. Even if Nexstar gets Media General and becomes maxed out, the WVMH sale is a stopgap solution that doesn't give them immediate ownership, but operational control. Expect this to be the next Nexstar exploitation of the rules like they did with Mission before.

  10. And that's why there are many channels to choose from. Unless you have something substantial to add to the thread, we don't need to hear your complaining.

  11. I'd like to see you fill 40 hours of airtime. The first hour was like 50 minutes of straight news, and the second hour started similarly. Also, with how gloom and doom the last week has been, some fluff on a commercial-free online stream is no way to judge an entire news organization.

  12. Could've been "Gary Knapp", did you check? Edit: Did you CHEK?

  13. Once the major news becomes something of the Kardashian vein, WNT will be back on top.

  14. Sorry, I meant GMA is celebrating 40 years on the air.

  15. I didn't realize that Good Morning Tunisia started the same year. Maybe not in that symbolic image of them all standing together, but everybody will be there, except for Chris Cuomo.
