What a dumpster fire that station is. This is starting to look like WCBS back in the early 2000s.

Tribune's WGNO-TV has ditched yet another newscast for its "News With A Twist" format. New Orleans' ABC affiliate now only has a TRUE local newscast from 5:00 a.m. until 7:00 a.m. and again at 11:00 a.m. during the week and 5 & 10 p.m. on Sunday. "News With A Twist" is a news magazine format that is on at 5, 6 & 10 p.m. weekdays and 6 & 10 p.m. on Saturday "that focuses on lighter stories and commentary and utilizes a mostly unscripted format."

Probably because USA Today still uses its now half-siblings (TEGNA stations) for some content, along with its full-siblings (Gannett's newspapers)

Slightly off topic, but all of TEGNA's ex-corporate relative newspapers have "deemphasized" that they are "A Gannett Company" on their websites and such, and instead are going with the tagline "Part of the USA Today Network". Which also still have all the TEGNA stations listed.

Forgot to mention perhaps NBC offered Steve a better contract and pay then KYW did so perhaps that's why he took the job. And not every reporter is gonna stay in the same market for years.

Did anyone ever stop and think not everyone aspires to be a news anchor nor do they want to be tied down to a desk 5 days a week. A lot of reporters enjoy going out into the field and reporting getting away from the building etc.

West coast forecasters have very little tools and information to make predictions beyond 12/24 hours. Radar is only good for 25/50 miles out over the ocean. The Airforce does not fly data into west coast storms. All you have is sat, marine observations from bouys and ships, and that's about it. Nice boob job and tight butt keeps the male viewers happy,and a non-threatening gay asian guy keeps the women (and some guys) happy. More hooey in wx forecasting here in the west than anything else. There is not much craft to practice here unlike the rest of the country. When I'm News Director I'm gonna have the best weather team around. They are gonna be super hot guys and gals... That can put out wildfires, design and build reservoirs...and predict all the earthquakes a week in advance. "The Channel 73 Global Climate Force".
