I just finished watching all of the videos that 'J put together. Very nice work. I thought they put a solid send off together.

From the Killeen Daily Herald (first posted in late January), Tegna's NBC affil KCEN in Waco has purchased a former church site in Downtown Temple. And they'll convert it into a new state-of-the-art studio. They're hoping to move into their new studio by the end of this year.

And maybe Elvis is still alive and owns Nexstar behind the scenes!

I Guess for now this makes him the Jack Benny of Philadelphia TV News. But seriously, this man is Philadelphia TV News personified. Always has been. Always is. Always will be. These 39 (& more for sure) years prove it.

Touché! I hadn't considered that. I guess my partiality for Ms. Jordan got the best of me. But I hardly think she wants to spend another 13 years on weekends. Then again, I suppose her hopes for an eventual promotion are a LITTLE brighter than Ravi's --- if anything changes with Kathy Brock and/or Cheryl Burton. But I highly doubt that would be any time soon.

Solid pick. I maintain that his time in the field over the last year has improved his delivery at the desk. It seemed like a given from when Rob he was hired, but I am sorry that Ravi's not getting it, too. We'll see how that goes. FTVLive has definitely made its share of mistakes. The guy generally doesn't get stories wrong when he talks directly to a source or has a "secret" memo. Outside of his source lying, it's a raw deal to have a potential new owner having major influence this far out in the game. Right or wrong, it's not supposed to work that way. Lets see if there's a followup soon or more of that type of activity to come to make a final judgement call. C'mon Mardek1995, the late Media General Chairman Stewart Bryan had been sick and additionally suffered a fall days before his passing. Highly doubt Nexstar took him out. He wasn't the only one calling the shots, his family made major decisions with him as well, considering how they had their ownership/stock structure set up. So even with him gone, the Bryan family still had the final call.

The original point still remains. If they are doing what they are said to be doing, it's illegal. Regardless of whether they get away with it or not. Also, Nexstar can't magically withhold which 6 stations they are selling. That matter has to be worked out and filed before the FCC will even consider approving the MG/Nexstar deal.
